Hailing from Dublin's North inner city, The Original Rudeboys formed in early 2011. Taking their name from a T-shirt band member Neddy was wearing at an impromptu house party gig, the band have created a unique and refreshing sound combining guitar and ukelele with soulful vocal melodies and street smart lyrical word-flow. They release their debut single 'Stars In My Eyes' on iTunes tomorrow and play two Dublin shows are at The Workman's Club on Saturday 29th October: an all ages matinee at 2pm and evening show at 8pm. PIAS Distribution warehouse destroyed in London Riots

At 4am last night, during the London riots, the 20,000 square meter SonyDADC warehouse in Enfield which stocks a vast majority of the physical releases for PIAS Distribution labels was burnt down. 150 labels or so in total are affected including Warp, Domino, Rubyworks, Vagrant, All City, Beggars, Chemikal Underground, Fabric, Kompakt, Memphis Industries, One Little Indian, Rock Action, Rough Trade, Secretly Canadian, Jagjaguar, Sunday Best and many more, Here's a statement from PIAS on the matter: There was a fire last night at the SonyDADC warehouse which services the physical distribution for PIAS in [...]
