I have to admit that I've never understood the appeal of Rufus Wainwright . That said, I know he's beloved by many. Those folks should be giddy because Wainwright has announced the release of his seventh studio album. The record, Out Of The Game , comes out on May 1st. Watch a teaser for the new record here:

Rufus Wainwright enlisted producer-to-the-stars Mark Ronson to man the boards for Out Of The Game , his forthcoming solo album. And two days ago, we posted the operatically lovely first single " Montauk ." Now, Ronson has posted the album's title track on his Tumblr , and it's a surprisingly slick track that could almost be yacht-rock if you squint when you're looking at it. Although I admittedly was not a huge fan of Rufus Wainwright 's last album, All Days Are Nights: Songs For Lulu , when word broke that the singer-songwriter was going to be working with legendary producer Mark Ronson on his upcoming album, Out Of The Game , it almost immediately sparked my addiction to him again.
