Since the release of their debut EP last year, Sydney-based indie dance trio Rüfüs has been flooding the internets with waves of unrelentingly infectious tunes and touring incessantly across Australia, even earning a support slot for Röyksopp . RüFüS put on one hellava show at the Phoenix Public Bar. I posted the video for their single 'This Summer' last week and got along to see how they do live. Very well it turns out and the charisma of the boys on stage was not lost on the gushing, mostly female, audience. As Rufus starts exploding in Aussieland, I should make a point of introducing them to you. A bit of a mix of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Friendly Fires. On their just released EP, Blue, the band make it a point to get you dancing with their hard-hitting synths, and air flowing vocals courtesy of lead singer Tyrone Lindqvist. The track may start a bit low key and have a lo-fi sound, but build so quickly to an euphoric uprising. This will be a band to crossover from down under, and have no problem finding major success overseas. [...]

Aussie Indie-Electro rising starts Rüfüs ' 'This Summer' finally has gone and got itself a video, not sure what it's been doing with it's time before this that was so important though? Alexander George directs this collection of youths-loosing-themselves-in-g ood-times-and-getting-a-bit-ro wdy-in-slow-motion clip which, whilst being a tad unoriginal, actually looks really nice and works perfectly with the track. This is the shit you hear and straight away know they could headline a summer festival, then play sell out shows in New York City and be featured on Gossip Girl and stuff.
