MP3 Rodan: Darjeeling Fifteen Quiet Years out 06/11/2013 After being hidden away for the last several years, Fifteen Quiet Years - all the important Rodan recordings that fans of Rusty have long wished they could unearth! - will be released on June 11th via Quarterstick Records. A celebratory document four years in the making, the collection includes the 1994 BBC Peel session, together with all of Rodan's long-out-of-print 73s and compilation tracks. Despite the brief time span of their existence [...]

Photograph by Andrew Paynter It’s hard to believe we’re four months into 2013. Winter has worn out its welcome, spring is slowly creeping into the picture, and another year of university has come to a close. This mixtape is pretty self-explanatory: a collection of nine tracks that have accompanied me through yet another semester. Atoms for Peace - Default A cold, calculated piece of electronic sprawl from Thom Yorke and company. I love the clickety-clack beat and the icy synths on the [...]
What's the LessThan3 team got on repeat this week? Check out what we're serving up in our new Friday Favorites series. Jesse Champagne Kris Menace feat. Black Hills - Waiting For You (Oliver Remix) [Compuphonic] LA production duo Oliver hit gold again with a 802s style twist on Kris Menace's single Waiting for You , adding vintage analog synths and an infectious groove to create an absolute stunner. crédit : Rosenberg Si on commençait à recenser chaque évènement exclusif qui a lieu à C oachella autant dire qu'on serait dans une belle merde.

Although still a little salty a punter at this years Coachella festival managed to capture a better version of the new Rustie produced Danny Brown track. Titled "Dope Song" you can definitely hear the characteristics of a Rustie jam with both its intensity and bass with Danny's vocals proving a decent compliment. The Scottish producers debut release 'Glass Swords' dropped in October of 2011 and we've only recently seen small snippets of new Rustie in a special mix he put together for Jackmasters BBC Radio 1 mix - although under a mysterious [...]
*Gasps for air* Two observations. First, it's a good thing Danny Brown is such a capable enunciator in live performances; there's a woefully short list of other rappers who could perform a new song live ... read more

It just wouldn't be a new week if we didn't post something about Danny Brown today. Thankfully for us, someone was filming his Coachella set and caught the Bruiser Brigade leader running through "Dope Song". The Rustie -produced track was previously premiered (sort of) by Hudson Mohawke earlier this year, but now we're getting the banger straight from Danny Brown himself. Sounds insane, no? Watch the performance below. [ via *] *Yeah, that's me in the comments section making an ass of myself.

Pitchfork’s Official SXSW Showcase Featuring Savages, Sky Ferreira, Zebra Katz, Ryan Hemsworth, Disclosure & Rustie With one of the best curated lineups during SXSW, for whatever reason Pitchfork’s official SXSW showcase at 1100 Warehouse was bare for the whole night. I almost didn’t go because I figured it’d be a shit-scene, but to my delight I was able to charge my phone and sprawl out on the couches in the venue. Good for us, bad for all of you who missed out! The first band I caught was Savages who have officially become one [...]

![Daedelus, Two Fresh, Ryan Hemsworth, and Samo Sound Boy @ Electric Owl [Show Review]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4879953_lg.jpg)
This past Friday night the Electric Owl Social Club in the heart of Vancouver was home to an INSANE night of music featuring the talents of Samo Sound Boy , Ryan Hemsworth , Two Fresh , and Daedelus ! It was the first time at Electric Owl for both of us and boy did we enjoy the atmosphere. Upon walking in and checking our coats, Ryan Hemsworth stood before us at the Merchandise table along with (one of the members of two fresh) where we were able to casually shoot the breeze with the [...]

I read this quote recently, likely a Banksy interpretation of a Cesar Cruz quote: "Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable." As I currently (and hopefully, temporarily) sit in my uncomfortably comfortable suburban home, I figured it's time to disturb the peace. So I gathered this collection of beats from the future, courtesy of a few creative masterminds. Since some of you live in the future, you'll be just fine. Actually, you'll be more than fine and probably get some warm fuzzies. For everyone else, it's time to broaden your horizons. I think I'm actually going [...]

The line-up for Pleasure Principle festival has been discussed and fawned over at great length - and with good reason too. Boasting sets from the likes of Legowelt, Omar-S, TNGHT, Blawan, Rustie, Space Dimension Controller, Joy Orbison and Robert Hood, the festival will also play host to Hessle Audio co-owner Ben UFO . As most of the artists involved have been giving away little promotional freebies in the build-up to the festival, so too has Ben UFO. This mix, co-presented by Pleasure Principle and Bleep.com , was originally [...]

Fresh Meat is an EP of brand new moombahton from a far flung crew of young guns: So Shifty, Rico Tubbs, Ackeejuice Rockers + Nanoworld. “Wicked Inna Dancehall”, “Hardcore Music”, & “Rusty” are 3 different takes on the jump-up ragga side of moombahton, while “Summer Trigger” has more of a sweetened, big room feel. German duo So Shifty may be best known for their super fresh official remixes of Major Lazor, No Doubt + Mr. Vegas, but they’re just as infamous for their underground electronic/reggae releases on Man Recordings, Moveltraxx & [...]
This is not safe for a Tuesday at 1PM. Not safe at all. I hit play on Diplo's BBC Radio 1 mix last night, and he opens it with Rustie's "Slasherr." Right out of the gate, I was hanging from the rafters, uncontrollably wiling out. He's one track into a ... Read More
