On repeat this morning, trying to kick things up for the weekend. Hat tip to Et Musique Pour Tous for the great find. Funky and fresh. Listen to the original track and other remixes here and enjoy... Ryskee | Horrors of Love ft. Jenny Wilson (Jamaica Sunshine Remix)

I have to admit that much of today's indie music remixes that line the charts of hypem and other pop music blogs by in large, miss me. How do you keep up with the constant influx of new music that characterizes this revolution we're living in? Blogs and friends I suppose, although even then it's still hard to sift through it all. Perhaps that's the job of us bloggers, although I despise the title, part of our job is to filter through it all, to provide you with what we consider worthy of your eyes and ears. [...]

Sunshine remix is right, the second this track drops you can't help but think sandy beaches, topless cars and good times. Jamaica absolutely crushed this version of Ryskee's Horrors of Love . I'm not sure I can agree with them on the song topic though. Everyones been in a rough relationship once or twice and some of people get it worse than others. For many, emotions become jaded to the point they think there might inately be horror in love. Even worse, some may even come to expect and romanticize these distorted attributes. What ends [...]

This mix monday is brought to you by a producer/dj that hasn't released any vitamins for quite sometime... Luckily, Fake Blood has put together a mix series entitled USED that you can find on his soundcloud . Here's what he had to say: I've done 4 x 1 hour mixes (and a 5th is in the pipeline), solely made up of old tunes sampled in classic Hip Hop tracks - but cut up on two copies / decks to re-create the loops / chops people used. I didn't use any compilations, reissues, [...]

There are a lot of things I've considered post-worthy recently, so this is another culmination of the things that I've been feeling as of late. Most of these are pretty new, but some of them are gems you may have missed. all tracks zipped here : I thought for a while that the Mortal Kombat soundtrack idea was a forced project that was trying to fuse two unrelated things. However, the tracks on it are actually really good. They would definitely be awesome to listen to while kicking some ass with triple combo street fighting [...]

Opening day is today in Denver. The expectations for this year's Colorado Rockies are a bit lofty. Some places have them winning the World Series to winning the National League West. I guess they forget that the pitching rotation in Philadelphia will probably supply three players that will pitch in this year's National League All Star team. The National League is strong, but you can never count out the Yankees and Red Sox. One bone I do have to pick are with Cubbies fans. Why is it that at the first sign of disarray, y'all start preaching [...]
Ryskee . Not Riskay , as in Smell Yo D*ck . Whatever. This new song from the former, featuring my Swedish gal pal Jenny Wilson , and coming complete with a remix from Italian rad dudes, Fare Soldi , is a mess. A really cool mess that I love. I don't even know where to let my brain start comprehending things, cause it's all sorts of here and there and everywhere in between. And then Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff call out for [...]

Busy busy this Italo duo! Just days after we get the teaser to Fare Soldi's upcoming 5 track EP, we get this delicious spring treat via Fatboy Slim's Southern Fried Records. A wonderfully peppy track, Fare Soldi brings the tempo down from the original , retains the bass groove and adds their amazing Frico Disco touch. Shake shake shakin' in my cubicle, checkkkk: Ryskee (Play Paul ft Jenny Wilson) - Horror of Love (Fare Soldi "Spaghetti molto bene" rmx) by FARE SOLDI [...]

the next compilation from jack of all trades brand kitsune revels, shouts and touts the next wave of french pop/indie/electro stars and starletts. compiled by gildas loaec who has worked with daft punk for over 15 years and andre saraiva a local parisian promoter and graf artist means the comp has all the elements for something successful. fittingly titled 'kitsune parisien' names such as Valley, Destin, Exotica, Yan Wagner and Jupiter all might slip past on first glance but will be stitched to the brain when the cognate kitsune sound jumps from [...]

Paul De Homem-Christo newest project sees him teaming up with Leslie Ming from Denmark. Their new out fit is called, "Ryskee". Paul De Homem-Christo is also the brother of Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo (one half of Daft Punk), and has used several aliases such as: Dark One , The Migrants , and Play Paul to name a few. This particular track has a cool retro synth vibe with fun loving vocals from Leslie. Ryskee - Leave Me Amor

Paul De Homem-Christo, brother of Guy-Manuel of Daft Punk , also known as dance maestro Play Paul is here with a new project called Ryskee. Paul, together with danish singer Leslie Ming created something addicting, something so happy and cute it leaves you thirsting for more. Ahhh! More new Fake Blood makes me happy. So for some reason everyone was hating on his last remix of Mike Snow's "animal," (which I would have to disagree with). Either way, I am still obsessed with the unique remixes and crazy synths he throws out there. Also be sure to keep an eye out for Calvin Harris ' new album dropping some time in August. Enjoy! Calvin Harris- Ready For The Weekend (Fake Blood Remix) ? [...]

Herve , the English ambassador of fidget has produced these two new remixes are of usual excellent quality, great production and pushing all the right buttons. I especially like the remix of 'Ice Cream' , the original's so cool anyway, with clever, hypnotic use of the vocals and whirring bass sounds piercing the inner depths of your brain. Be sure to get the remix of Calvin Harris as well which mixes it up between straight electro and a bit of wobbly bass. NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB - ICE [...]

A new track that is getting a lot of attention lately is from French singer, Ryskee. It's a little ballad that has been remixed by some of the best. But my personal favorite was by The Bloody Beetroots It's got this smooth 80's love pop ballad feel. It's a nice change of pase from their usual balls-2-the-wall electro and from the rest of the overdriven remixes. (Not that I'm hateing on overdrive - I personally love it my self...) [...]

Now its my turn to get a series. Mine will be about several random tracks i find during these past few weeks and that i find saying to myself "Hum, this is quite good." Some might be old, some might be new, but who cares about that, right? So, on we go. First off is Heads We Dance. We had major sucess when we posted Don Diablo's remix of their single, When The Sirens Sound. Here is another remix of that single, this time by American duo, Hot Pink Delorean. Its a very rocky remix, but [...]

The Bloody B's are at it again... but this time they aren't putting out "Club bangers". But more of a disco, indie, even hip hop flow to these tracks. Im hitting you with a new original and a remix from not my, but your favorite production duo. Enjoy. -Colours The Bloody Beetroots - Awesome (feat. The Cool Kids) Ryskee - Leave Me Amor [...]
