Unless you were following underground hip-hop closely around 2004-2006 it is likely the only association you have with Saigon is his stint on Entourage. This is unfortunate, as most people (read: not hardcore hip-hop heads) cast aside Sai’s album as a joke – “he’s only that dude Turtle promoted on that corny HBO show”. Yeah, I'm no Saigon fan, but when TRU needed a review of his album, The Greatest Story Never Told , I ended up doing some writing about it. Not the actual content, but the fiasco leading up to it. The one like @ Nahshon handled the album work. It's up now , check it out.
Perhaps if Saigon The Don would have stuck with Turtle and not had Drama "Vanilla-Iced" on the hotel balcony, The Greatest Story Never Told wouldn't have been delayed so hard. But it's all cognac under the bridge at this point. Jerry Ferrara - Turtle to many - goes out of his way to endorse The Yardfather's celebrated debut as a fan and gets a lifetime supply of CD's in the process.
