If "Days," the first single to Sambassadeur's new album that's to be released in February, is any indication it seems like the new album might be Sweden's answer to the last Camera Obscura album. "Days" certainly hits all the same enjoyable orchestral pop buttons that "French Navy" did earlier this year. With sweeping strings, playful vocal melodies, and splashes of twinkling keys, "Days" is the type of song that makes the changing colors of the foliage easier to handle. [ YANP ]

photo by kjell b persson honestly, i can barely pronounce their name. im guessing its something like ambassador but with a "s" in front of it? the band is sambassadeur hails from somewhere that isnt probably within a few thousand miles of my zip code of 70115. if i was a bit more educated, i may be able to place their accents, but alas im pretty dumb. although, judging by their label's, labrador , .se domain, i am guessing that they may be swedish. no matter, cause i really, really like this song from [...]

Valid question time. Why aren't Sambassadeur bigger here in the States then they currentlky are? Sitting high atop the mighty mountain of Labrador Records (for whom we continually swoon over), the Swedish quartet mix a variety of strings and sounds to form the most pleasant pop songs. I'm unbelievable tired today. Had a night (more like an evening) out with the boys Saturday, and even though I wasn't terribly drunk, went to bed before 2 am, slept rather well, had a fairly quite Sunday and another good nights sleep, I'm still absolutely worn out today. I've expressed my deep love for this superb Swedish band on previous occasions and put my kronor where my mouth is.
