I was shocked, looks like I lost all my lunch money betting on the Kimye baby due date. The only safe bet is to invest your earnings on BitCandyandrsquo;s Best of Alternative and Indie Pop cuz we always
It’s Saturday, so that means it’s once again time for Shorthanded Goals. Shorthanded Goals is an informal mixtape of the best sounds from the past week (or weeks) that I didn’t get a chance to cover. These tracks arrive via the Sirens of Decay inbox from bands/labels/PR folks and readers, as well as from my own exploration on Soundcloud or Bandcamp. They are all great tracks looking for a new home. These are the tracks I end up missing, so you get first dibs. Think of yourself as [...]

Okay, I know it is a Saturday, but today is also June 1st a.k.a. the beginning of the summer months. Did you really expect me to drop a summer mixtape on any other day? Welcome to Summer is the perfect driving-with-the-windows-down mixtape. Like, that is the sole reason I made it. Whether you're rolling into town blasting RL Grime 's remix of Chief Keef (making eye contact with the old lady in the car next to you at a stoplight) or just shouting the lyrics of [...]
Visit Indie Shuffle to download. Song: Daft Punk - Get Lucky (San Cisco Cover) [download here ] What's so good? Apart from the fact that I've got a huge crush on San Cisco's drummer, I'm also quite digging this cover that they did of [...]
“Get Lucky” fue [...]
This San Cisco cover of the Daft Punk hit single is your song for Friday. I've featured San Cisco in the past ( here and here ) and the Western Australians do a ridiculous indie pop cover of Get Lucky . Enjoy. via From Go To Whoa

Australian radio station Triple-J hosted a brief interview and session from indie pop quartet San Cisco as part of the Like A Version show in which artists come in to perform cover versions of their favourite tracks. Performing a reworked version of Daft Punk’s recent hit 'Get Lucky', San Cisco thrived in the occasion. The band also recorded a live version of their own song, 'Beach'. Watch both clips below.

Sun-kissed indie-pop Australian wunderkids, San Cisco have turned in a live cover of Daft Punk 's 'Get Lucky'. "I haven't really had the chance to listen to the rest of the album [ Random Access Memories ]. I listened to it this morning, but I was also sleeping," they tell Aussie radio station Triple J. Watch the live rendition below and check out our live session with the band here .

This was an awesome cover highlighted by San Cisco's own unique blend of Ausseomeness....check our Scarlett's bongo drum/drumming.... so sweet!

photo by Morgen Schuler Australian band San Cisco ’s first time in Seattle included a stop by KEXP for an in-studio with Cheryl Waters. “That was more fun than a barrel of monkeys,” joked Waters, describing the performance. Formed in 2009 in the small city of Fremantle, Australia (the same town home to Tame Impala), San Cisco is a four-piece jangly group with roots in folk music that now features an indie, reverb-infused, high-energy pop sound. The band has toured Europe and recently shook the stage at Neumo’s in Capitol Hill. Upon conclusion of their [...]

Rocket Ship by San Cisco Today’s “You’ve GOT to hear this” song is “Rocket Ship” by the Australian four-piece band San Cisco . This happy sing-along song from the EP Awkward is about the desire of flying away and leaving everyday life behind; “I fold a piece of paper and I put it in my pocket cause' I'm about to board the world's first rocket. And I need to remember where I came from”. Every time I hear the song I have to smile immediately. The grand voices of the band paired [...]
