Ever since the original came out on the last Wolf release I've been in love with Greymatter's bassline on Give It To Me Slow... SO PHAT! Then when I heard the rolled back version that Casino Times put together I was hooked once more! Now there's even more tasty reworks from Session Victim and San Soda to put together a very exciting remix package for one of my favourite tracks on Wolf All out now on Juno... Grab dat .

Any Delusions of Grandeur junkie will bitch slap me for leaving this one so late. I haven't been trawling for records lately in hope of saving some money for Christmas, and somehow I still haven't saved anything. Danilo Plessow, aka Motor City Drum Ensemble, teams up with We Play House regulars FCL (Red D & San Soda) to deliver the twenty second installment of DoG. MCDE is nowhere to be found on this record however, due to his new alias VFB. (Still yet to discover what it stands for) He delivers a [...]

The monthly disco adventure known as Discovery is back again this Saturday night in the lower level of Santos Party House, this time with the first New York City appearance of San Soda (We Play House Recordings/FCL) and Justin and Eamon of the venerable Mister Saturday Night parties. Residents VDRK and Free Magic will be [...]

Incase you missed it back last year this an absolute stomper of a release here from We Play House Recordings . Belgiums FCL have put together an upstoppable four track EP, absolutely filled with bombs Vocals For Everyone! is going to be a crucial part of my record bag for some time. FCL is the combination of a talented youngster in the form of San Soda and a hardened veteran of the house circuit, Red D , who coincidentally is the head honcho of WPH. FCL - More Than Seven [ [...]
An absolute screamer here from San Soda, who's been dishing out the utmost of quality under the likes of FCL. Its got that deep house sound but with a nice twist. Its a heavy weight, and... DOWNLOAD/ STREAM http://www.feelmybicep.com
Up on the mix next we have Ben Sun with a deep slice of sleazy funk and deep house. Ben shot onto our radar with his huge flip of Jackie Moore, 'salty tears' last year, which was played... DOWNLOAD/ STREAM http://www.feelmybicep.com

Been busy, but still listening to this boom bunch. Have fun. One of many new vocal wonders from James Blake . James Blake - To Care (Like You) | Buy Bouncy, twisty, subtly progressive number from Isolée 's third bag of gems. Isolée - Hold On | Buy Sub bass, sustained synths and simple sounds from San Soda . San Soda - Hypocrisy [...]

[ We Play House ] ( buy vinyl ) ( buy mp3s ) East Flanders was a veritable gold mine of house fundamentals in 2009, thanks to the underestimated work of the young We Play House Recordings. With an aesthetic as direct and to-the-point as the label's chosen name, the line has typically favored retro synthetic palettes and low-slung earworm grooves. And though all of their records have been worth a look, when you start tallying last year's out-and-out stunners - San Soda's "Dorsnee," Dynamodyse's "Gare du Nord," Reggie Dokes' "Dancefloor Spectacle," [...]

San Soda - Doorsnee ( buy ) San Soda offers up deep house music that is both rooted in the past and firmly aimed towards the future. Out on We Play House Recordings San Soda gives us three killer tracks from his vaults. On the A-side is 'Doorsnee', a track that already had people requesting a release when it was but in its infant days on his Myspace . Describing it is quite the task, because it kinda [...]

Ramon Tapia & Maxim Lany - "Highway" (Remixes) [We Play House] (buy) Originally released last year on an mp3 download only, "Highway" by Ramon Tapia & Maxim Lany, sadly, sat in the shadows, but fear not friends as the blossoming, Belgian, house label, We Play House has picked it up, dusted it off, and recommissioned it with a tidy remix package from fellow Belgian house heads, San Soda & Red D & another from the main man like Jus -Ed. The original, which has been remastered for this release is a peak time floor filler that [...]

With his first two releases being played to the masses by the likes of Jimpster, Ame and Garnier, San Soda (aka Nicolas Geysens) has certainly hit the ground running in 2008. So it only felt right that we had a word with him before he was snapped up by others (which judging by his upcoming work, this is a surefire guarantee). He's also been so kind as to supply us with a rather excellent Detroit influenced mix... Q. Tell us about your musical background... A. I grew up in Belgium, Deinze. [...]

San Soda aka Nicolas Geysens is probably a relatively unknown to many in the house and techno world (possibly due to the vinyl only nature of his work so far) but when heavyweight producers such as Garnier, Agoria and Charles Webster are giving his work props then you know something exciting lives in the grooves of his records. Tracks "200705053 and "Possible Release" have been two of hidden house gems of 2008 but a quick listen to the tracks on San's MySpace show that there is more in his armoury than straight 4/4. [...]

San Soda - The Limited Ge ar EP (buy) After releasing one of 2008's hidden gems in thebacked "20070505", San Soda aka Nicolas Geysens had a lot to live up to with the second release on Red D's, currently vinyl only, "We Play House" label. Hailing from a tiny village in Belgium, both We Play House and San Soda have only 2 releases credited to their name but it's safe to say that the start has been more than impressive and fans of Move D should definitely take note. "Just In" kicks off the EP with a nice summery feel that builds up in a satis fying as the [...]
