S o what the heck happened to Saves The Day ? After releasing two solid albums (1999's Through Being Cool and 2001's Stay What You Are ) it seemed that they were poised to make that crossover from pop-punk upstarts into mainstream consciousness. Then they released In Reverie to underwhelming reviews. It is an album that I still don't like or understand and a strange move for the band. After hearing their 2005 album Sound The Alarm , I didn't fall in love with Saves The Day again, but [...]

I find myself exhausted today....(I stayed up to watch the World Series )...so this will be short. I have 1 good Photo from the Rogue Wave show last weekend.....it was awesome btw... and I have a few tracks from the new Saves The Day record. I`m still absorbing it myself so I don`t have much of a review........haha ...thats it..CN Saves The Day - Can`t Stay The Same Saves The Day - Head For The Hills [...]

T his one was harder. Yeah, I threw in some Allister and managed to dig up a killer track from an old Dynamite Boy album, but this one was hard. Probably because most of the obscure old stuff I wanted to pull out and put on here are on CD's that are packed away in a storage unit. Until those boxes are unpacked, I think this will be it for the series. We hope you've enjoyed it and that you'll join us again next time. MP3 | Lifetime [...]

H ello there. I've been relaxing and just taking it easy around here for the past week or so and it has been really nice. Amy's been sick a good portion of the week, so I've been playing a little more Mr. Mom that usual. all is well though. The songs below were the first ten that played on the iPod this morning as I was doing dishes and making coffee. Not a bad way to start the day, eh? MP3 | Sludgeworth - Another [...]

I just finished reading the excellent book Redemption Song: The Ballad Of Joe Strummer by Chris Salewicz and thought it would only be appropriate to post a of The Clash's (and Joe Strummer's) songs. The book was a bit too academic but awesome nonetheless. Despite the excellent post over at Berkeley Place , this is (IMHO) I've collected a pretty nice supplement of cover songs. Awhile back I also did a post of various versions of Jimmy Cliff's "Pressure Drop" which was covered by The Clash as well. If [...]
