Did you know Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto came out this week? The band played Letterman and Colbert and Today and Jools and Ellen and we threw a party in their honor. The launch celebration continues tonight in a Anton Corbijn-directed Vevo webcast from Madrid's Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas beginning at 4PM EST. Since the anticipation is killing us, we thought now would be a good time to compile ten of the most relistenable versions of the band's sentimental megahits, of which there have been [...]
Joe writes: This U2 cover is the track that got me in to Scala and Kolacny Brothers. I believe Rob da Bank played it on Radio 1. Some time later their version of Creep was featured on the trailer to The Social Network. For me With Or Without You is even better than Creep so I was pleased to hear it featured on the trailer for the new series of Downton Abbey.

The success of Scala & Kolacny Brothers' haunting rendition of Radiohead's "Creep" on The Social Network trailer last year launched them from relative obscurity and landed them a record deal.

They've recently been [...]

Scala & Kolacny Brothers takes classic favorites, rearranges the songs, then adds a female choirs' touch and accompaniment by usually a piano. Their popularity soared with their deconstruction of Radiohead's Creep for The Social Network soundtrack. Their newest self-titled album (March 15, 2011) covers every spectrum with covers of Metallica, Alanis Morisette, U2 and Nirvana. Watch S&KB's somewhat disturbing new video interpretation for the Kings of Leon song "Use Somebody." Without giving the ending away, it is hard to say what you or your spouse would and would not do in certain circumstances if diagnosed with a debilitating disease. [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , Exclusive , Q + A Courtesy Scala and Kolacny When the first trailer for ' The Social Network ' premiered last July, the drama surrounding Facebook's creation wasn't the only thing that grabbed people's attention: Scala and Kolacny Brothers ' hauntingly beautiful version of Radiohead 's 'Creep,' also made quite an impression. Founded in 1996 by brothers Stiijn and Steven Kolacny, the female choral group began singing [...]

I stumbled upon Belgian rock choir Scala & Kolacny Brothers several months back thanks to their courageous spin on KOL's Use Somebody , and I gotta tell you, I'm still surprised by how often I reach for their most recent European release, Circles . Apparently, Circles will be self-titled and bolstered with a handful of originals when it is finally approved for U.S. ears on March 15th, but the bigger news is that the whole mob will be making their [...]

Scala & Kolacny Brothers is a girls' choir from Belgium, conducted by Stijn Kolacny and arranged and accompanied by Steven Kolacny on the piano. They do mostly covers of songs by the likes of Björk, Radiohead, U2, Nirvana, Depeche Mode and others. Many people latched on to this act when an internationally released movie trailer for The Social Network featured the choir doing a version of Radiohead's "Creep." Their stuff has also been on the TV shows "Nikita" and "Sons of Anarchy." The choir also does original songs, like "Raintears." The video was designed [...]

Thanks to the appropriate use of their Radiohead "Creep" cover in "The Social Network" trailer, the Belgian female choir's profile has skyrocketed overnight. Scala & The Kolacny Brothers are now freshly signed to an American major label, and their first US release is "Dawn", a digital EP featuring, of course, "Creep". However, in their home [...]
