Black Hippy members Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q recently made their way to the set of MTV Hive's In My Room and ripped through several tracks from their respective catalogs. Lamar performed Section.80 highlights "Hol' Up" and "A.D.H.D." while Q tackled "Hands on the Wheel" from this year's damn-good Habits & Contradictions . You can watch the performances below. ScHoolboy Q has been making the rounds, and producer Aaron LaCrate has taken notice. After meeting up with the TDE rapper at a show in NYC, LaCrate asked to give "Hands On The Wheel" the remix treatment. While music like this isn't always my thing, Aaron LaCrate does a fine job of turning up the tempo on this hip-hop anthem and making things bang real hard. Back in January, Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino posted a gif stating he was to release a new mixtape. That was 4 months ago and since then we've had just one track from said mixtape, " Eat Your Vegetables ". Today though that changes as IFWT have debuted another track from the tape which features ScHoolboy Q. It's titled "Unnecessary" and is enjoyable below.

Community star Donald Glover has been rapping as Childish Gambino for a while now, and many of us remain utterly unconvinced by his general rapping ability. In what would have been an extremely unorthodox collaboration not too long ago but now seems reasonable, Childish Gambino hooks up with ScHoolboy Q on this low-lying "Unnecessary". Premiered via flex , Gambino sounds like he's taking a cue from some of his more traditional peers out there today, Q included, and more notably the admittedly-admired Danny Brown. [via p&p]

Childish Gambino just dropped a new track called "Unnecessary", which features the surprising collab with Schoolboy Q. Over a menacing beat, the rappers take turns calling out how ridiculous some artists get with their money. Skiing in Japan and molly on your rider, really upsets these two.
