A lot has happened with Scotland Yard Gospel Choir since I last sang their praises . They've signed with Bloodshot Records and will be releasing their self-titled second album this coming October 23rd. The Chicago-based chamber pop collective are best compared to Belle & Sebastian and have drawn the attention of Ira Glass as well as having opened for Arcade Fire and Spoon. I'm not sure if this band is still a band. I'm not sure what's going on in their lives or where they went after a key member split off to go solo. There doesn't seem to be anything more recent than June 11th, 2005 pictures on the website, and a myspace site is missing in action.
