Icelandic indie pop musician Sindri Már Sigfússon alias SIN FANG has released a video clip for What's Wrong With Your Eyes, another song from his third solo album Flowers that was released via Morr Music some months ago. Following the music clip for Look At The Night, again director Máni Sigfússon creates an intense visual The post Sin Fang with new video for "What´s Wrong With Your Eyes" appeared first on Nothing But Hope And Passion - NBHAP - Music Magazine & more .
We seem to be referencing the ever diminishing disparity between organic and electronic musics with increasing frequency, so sincerest apologies if you've read, and subsequently had enough of all that. I'm only too aware of the fact that it's been heavily suffused throughout our extensive recent coverage of Brad Weber's Pick a Piper project, and indeed our effusive praise of James Cooley's Mesita but it makes for an exciting time for the sounds of the experimental and avant-garde realms. And although Bristolian composer Zoon van snooK is, by his own admission, a self-professed practitioner [...]
Music from Iceland seems to be agreeingly expected to be playful and sensual, or naive and petite. Flowers, SIN FANG's third album proves a different matter. Sindri Már Sigfússon has been known to be a songwriting-genious before he started SIN FANG in 2008 as his soloproject, being the mastermind of Iceland's beloved neo-folk-group SEABEAR. Gladly The post Sin Fang - Flowers appeared first on Nothing But Hope And Passion - NBHAP - Music Magazine & more .

Usually known as the singer of Seabear, Sindri Már Sigfússon's solo project has a new record out by the name of Flowers. While not something that would not be of my usual rotating listens, something about the extremely creativity with folk/pop psychedelia has me hooked. I particularly love this track, "Sunbeam". The charging bass line and ethereal chimes with the "oh, oohs" make it a stupid catchy pop track of sorts. Give it a listen, the whole album is just as good - you should think about buying it. Also - the guy has a doily beard, a [...]

Moosic, moosic, moosic The news spread quickly on Saturday evening that the hardworking put-upon staff of HMV stores in Cork, Limerick and Tallaght had vacated the premises having acquired a written guarantee from the administrator that wages owed will be paid on Friday as planned. Fingers crossed now that is the case. Today's playlist is specifically dedicated to all the staff who staged the various sit-ins, with all tracks taken from Icelandic bands seeing as their country has blossomed since showing authorities they simply would no longer put up with their inept [...]
Icelandic songstress Sóley recently visited the 9:30 Club while on tour with Of Monsters and Men. Like many musicians in Iceland, she splits her time among a number of bands/projects, but of late has come to prefer the process of working solo, where she maintains all of the creative control. Now off of her tour, she's back to work recording a new album. But watch the clip above as she performs "Sun is Going Down," "Smashed Birds" and brand new song "Wedding."

Sindri Már Sigfússon aka SIN FANG has completed the work on his new studioalbum Flowers. It will be released February 1st via Berlin-based label Morr Music. Over the summer we had the pleasure of enjoying Sigfússon’s side project POJKE with various releases, now he’s back with music from his original alias. The third album by the SEABEAR

Sóley This week's first session (usually plucked hyenaishly from the Serengeti-esque virtual plains of the internet) comes recommended by a good friend who seemingly is as susceptible to Icelandic songstress Sóley 's charms as I am. Currently on tour across the Atlantic, the Morr Music (home to Amiina , Múm and Telekinesis ) artist is currently half-way through a U.S. tour that will see her visit Washington club DC9 [...]

SEABEAR member SÓLEY unveils the video for her single I'll Drown, taken from her adorable debut album We Sink. Short time ago we met the passionate singer and piano player after a gig and had a really nice interview with her about the record and the current hiatus of her main group . I'll Drown

MP3: fjords ii - "Seabear" Parallels divide at some point in time, because, eventually, every road narrows. Expecting that one path will be straight until the end only leaves room for missed opportunities as you move along. And it's hard to find excitement with a lack of contrast. Appreciation for what you have -- and where you are -- never comes without a chance to see the other side of things, to miss what you've come to know. This Munich duo of Eduard Demacek (electric ukulele/vocals/drum machine) and [...]

New sounds coming from the lovely country that is Iceland. We were on a trip there and picked up a disc by the new artist just by looking at the cover artwork. This is the debut album by Sóley Stefánsdóttir, a 23 year old girl from Reykjavik, student of composition and a member of the Icelandic indie-collective Seabear – it’s the debut of a singer and a dreamer. Her sound recounts a great yet tumultuous marriage between the sombriety of Agnes Obel and the hard-hitting melodies of Lykke Li. Related [...]

Sin Fang (Bous) "Catch the Light" "Tonight I'm fighting anyone willing Tonight I won't be a man letting love in I can't get her back on my pointless lies now I kissed her face and I slept in a bar" This is part two of my epic two part Song of the Day series that addresses the insanely important personal opinion I have that the solo acts Sin Fang Bous and [...]

Sóley "I'll Drown" "You'll never escape from this sad, sad house, I take his hand, we sink. I'll drown when I see you, I'll drown when I see you, I'll drown when I see you, I do." I'm sure everyone's heard an example of the "individual parts combining to make something greater" lesson. The one [...]

Being sick is terrible. I've been fighting something nasty since Tuesday. Luckily the worst was out of the way fast - after recording a 101 degree temperature Tuesday night, the fever subsided and I've slowly returned to a state that's manageable. I was still a bit stuffed up on the 25th, but by 10pm all that was left was sniffling and the occasional cough - my regular voice was back. On November 25, I decided to do something a little different. Not only would I tell a few stories about [...]

Sóley: I'll Drown [...]
Happy Wednesday kids! Today we've got a tune for you from Icelandic artist Sóley , who some of you may recognize from indie veteran bands Sin Fang and Seabear . This is the first solo record from the typically quiet singer songwriter and a taste of her progressive style can be found below. The new song "I'll Drown", appears on debut LP We Sink out October 4th on Morr Music . Interested parties should also check out an intimate video of Sóley performing new song "The Sun is Going Down (pt. 2)" [...]
