![FANG ISLAND, JAMES BLAKE, TWIN SHADOW [SUGGESTED NYC CONCERTS]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3766281_lg.jpg)
Another week here in New York City means another week of live music that will blow your mind. Though James Blake , Yacht ,and Twin Shadow are in town, it's Brooklyn-by-way-of Rhode Island band Fang Island that snagged our #1 concert of the week spot. Why you ask? These dudes are outrageous performers who know how to have a good time. They're also playing one of my favorite venues, Glasslands Gallery . It's a small place filled with strange taxidermy, mythological creatures and a backdrop of puffy clouds. Do yourself a [...]

++Sean Bones' music is so smooth and relaxing. This would be the second good song in a row from him. Oh pah , wonder if it's time to go album status with him. No shows ? Hmm. I hope when he comes to LA he plays bars because his is drinking'n' dancing music. ( via ) Sean Bones: Turn Them.mp3 ++On the other end [...]

According to Roots-Archieve.com, this film's Patois title translates as " What's Wrong With Them ". The title seems to be very fitting as the movie is filmed with a mumblecore esthetic and focuses on Brooklyn slacker Max (played by musician Sean Bones) as he haphazardly attempts to connect those in the world around him. "In WAH DO DEM, young Brooklyn musician Max (Sean Bones) decides to go on a Caribbean cruise alone when his girlfriend Willow (Norah Jones) dumps him cold two days before the trip. Once in Jamaica, Max quickly escapes the tourist [...]
"You better be careful now, now that I'm gone" Sean Bones makes atmospheric music that lies somewhere between reggae, soft rock and pop. It's an immensely pleasing, satisfying kind of sound that removes you from wherever you happen to be in the world to another place and time altogether. He recently collaborated with Norah Jones on her new album '...Featuring', which as the title may imply features a range of collaborations old and [...]

Here's a typical conversation I had this week: Me: "I'm reviewing Norah Jones this week." Random Friend: "My mom likes Norah Jones." It doesn't sound much like an insult, because there are no harsh words or explicit judgments passed. Instead, rather underhandedly, people place themselves above an artist by defining them as an entity that sees heavy rotation in their mother's limited CD collection, the collection of a woman who, while loved and respected, surely has inferior taste in music. It's with Jones' newest release, ...Featuring Norah Jones , a compilation album [...]

Sure, we know what you're thinking. We here at HAD are a bunch of crazies that just can't get enough of Spoon . Well, you're half right: we can't get enough of Spoon, but we're sure as hell not crazy, and last night proved it. After catching Spoon in New Jersey on Sunday, and at Cake Shop yesterday afternoon, we made our way to the Music Hall Of Williamsburg and saw the best show we've seen from the band in a very long time. [...]

Still, what better option could you possibly have for a Monday night concert here in New York City? Sean Bones opens. Rev Vince Anderson @ Union [...]
