Just take one stroll through Sei A's Soundcloud account , and you will quickly learn that the London-based producer can churn out the ultimate techno jams for the dance floor. This time around, however, he caught my ear for quite the opposite. The all girl, Los Angeles quarter Warpaint chills you with sleep-inducing lullabies like "Billie Holiday," which clearly inspired Sei's direction. Here, he shows of his versatility with a dark yet lush soundscape of creepy reverberation, thunderous tones, and crackling beats. This is one for the night.
Sei A returns on Turbo in a big way, backed by a storming remix from Martyn. Whereas Frozen Flower marked his most delicate and emotive release to date, the latest EP from Sei A snaps things back onto a futuristic grid of bass-driven club madness. Break the Pattern is a techno zap-fest featuring a killer hook, precision, laser-cut drums and a rough, rolling groove.
