Kali pertama mendengar nama SEMAKBELUKAR dari mulut beberapa kawan asal Palembang, kesan pertama yang langsung berkelabatan di kepala saya adalah sebuah band punk lokal grasak-grusuk yang gemar tendang pantat orang. Mungkin ini karena kata "semak belukar" sendiri yang identik dengan tanaman yang hobi tumbuh liar tak beraturan, bahkan terkadang bersenjatakan deretan duri yang siap menggaruk siapapun yang ada di dekatnya.
