Good looking people are running around breaking hearts everywhere, none more so than in the music industry you and I both love. With the internet, came Google images and easy access to promo shots becaming nothing more than an expectation from fans (nb: that's not a factual account of how it all happened). We all yearn to know the faces behind the songs we lust after, dance along and headbang to but are we finding ourselves swooning over the music or the faces behind the magic? Here are 10 magicians that have got me [...]
We caught up with Seth at IMS this afternoon; check what the Visionquest man has to say for himself.

With the addition of techno superstars Joris Voorn , Nic Fanciulli, Seth Troxler , and Guy Gerber, Insomniac Events has signalled that EDC Las Vegas 2012 will be a truly world-class music festival experience. Voorn, Fanciulli, Troxler, and Gerber probably won't sell many tickets, and they definitely won't play at the main stage. They will, however, add to EDC's reputation among more discerning dance music fans. If you can escape the wonders of the Kinetic Field, we encourage you to visit some of EDC's smaller stages, where some of the world's most creative DJs will showcase [...]
Pure Pacha All Gone Pete Tong has unveiled its 2012 lineup. The weekly Friday night event will begin with the launch party on May 25 with Calvin Harris and ends with a closing party on September 28 with Maya Jane Coles and Eats Everything. In between, expect Pete Tong to be joined by an array of DJs including Booka Shade, Laurent Garnier presents LB, Seth Troxler, Jacques Lu Cont and Sasha. Even Paul Oakenfold (remember him?) will make an appearance. Obligatory press gush from Pete Tong: "I'm really looking forward to the start of the new 'all gone' [...]

After breaking the news last January that the tune about cocaine and ketamine you were all so desperately after was by Venezuelan duo Fur Coat we thought it only fair to pin them down for an in-depth chat. And what better time to do so than just before they're due back in the UK to play Return To The Future 4 for some bank holiday weekend madness. With big-hitters like Seth Troxler and Tale Of Us also on the bill, it's truly time for Fur Coat to cement their growing reputation here in the UK... [...]

Electric Daisy Carnival New York has announced the lineup of its event taking place May 18-20, 2012 at MetLife Stadium. The bill includes a variety of world-class DJs including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Goldie, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Seth Troxler and Art Department. Obligatory press gush from Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac Events: "We felt a buzz coming from East Coast fans and decided that New York, with the right venue, would be the perfect stop for EDC. We're excited to bring Insomniac's unique multisensory festival experience to the New York area, a kind of [...]

Due to the mass hysteria that has recently graced the electronic dance music scene in the United States, Ultra really went all out with regards to their underground acts and stage production. Not everyone at the festival was rushing to the main stage to hear Avicii play 'Levels' or David Guetta play his new collaboration with Nicky Romero, 'Metropolis'. There was a large contingent of underground enthusiasts, and they certainly got their fix. With hard-hitters like Jamie Jones , Magda, Sven Vath, Maya Jane Coles , and the all-mighty Carl Cox on the bill, the techno enthusiasts were [...]

Still riding high on the months-long hype-wave, Fur Coat's monster track You And I finally gets a digital release today on Crosstown Rebels. We first broke the news about who the track was actually by back in January, leading to Crosstown boss Damian Lazarus admitting we'd let the "kat out of the bag". Fast-forward two long months of waiting and now everyone else (ie. non Crosstown persona and those not vinyl-junkies) can get their dirty mitts on the track and the accompanying Amirali remix. And the really big news to match this [...]
Filed under: Concerts and Tours , RPM Getty Images With SXSW Music just about to kick off , we've compiled a list of some of our most highly anticipated dance-electronica events, featuring legends like DJ Harvey, dancefloor heroes Matthew Dear and Seth Troxler , and relative newcomers like Blondes , Kindness and Jacques Greene , all three of whom are likely to be hailed as breakout acts at this year's [...]
It is only a matter of time before deep house takes over the U S of A so take notice and join the party now if you want 1st dibs on the madness. My fellow co-worker Yooj [ RA | Facebook Page ] is tearin it up in Berlin right now spreading his prescription of my favorite kind of medicine to all the hungry [...]

Photo by Peter Zachary Voelker A post that is seriously long overdue is this remix by young French producer Davka . To be honest I don't think the original by Deetron & Seth Troxler is all that interesting, but Davka added something to it that blends in with original production so well it makes you think it was always supposed to be this way. And it seems to be a trend throughout his remixes, his remix for Sound Pellegrino's Bassface for example can convince you the Thermal Team is actually a robotic [...]

So I am seeing Swedish House Mafia at MSG this Friday, and I am completely ready for a mainstream, history-making set. However, I can assure you this Verboten party will be groovier and better in many facets. Seth Troxler was recently named #2 in the Resident Advisor 2011 poll, which is essentially the DJ Mag poll of the underground universe. He recently founded his label Visionquest along with some of his buddies, and the group was immensely successful in Ibiza this season. His essential mix has over 50,000 plays, and he cites his influences as "the chirping of [...]

Well well.. it seems as though we have reached the end of yet another week. I guess that means that another techno Friday. Here we go: A good way to start anything - especially a weekend - would be to listen to Gadi Mizrahi 's take on Seth Troxler 's track "Love Never Sleeps". It has all the bombastic percussion you'll (probably) ever need - plus ethereal synths and a heavy, mysterious vibe. excellent: Seth Troxler - Love Never Sleeps (Gadi Mizrahi Remix) [...]

Two heads are better one than one, so the saying goes. It's no surprise then that the four comprising Visionquest have achieved a staggering amount since formation two years ago. Made up of Lee Curtiss , Ryan Crosson , Shaun Reeves and Seth Troxler , Visionquest is the closest underground dance music has to a supergroup. Each successful in their own right, the Detroit exports came together under the Visionquest moniker back in 2010 as producers, before evolving into a charismatic DJ group. Finally they put their name to a label earlier this [...]

Next month sees the latest edition of the seminal Fabriclive series and luckily for us they've recruited men of the moment Visionquest to do the honours. Consisting of Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves; it seems like they just can't put a foot wrong this year whether it's as a group, separately, or with their label's releases. Taking a look at the tracklisting they've released, you just know this is going to be as deep as hell. If, like us, you don't think you can wait to get your mitts on this, appease yourself with Shaun [...]

Early next month sees the digital release of Culprit Records first ever compilation, Above The City. Inspired by their legendary Sunday rooftop sessions at LA's Standard Hotel , it's the perfect release to compliment the current (and somewhat unexpected) heatwave here in the UK. Listen to it, enjoy the sunshine and picture yourself swaying to the beats on a rooftop with LA's beautiful house-scenesters. As opposed to peeling off your raincoat and bemoaning the end of summer, which, let's be frank, we all assumed we'd be doing from here on out. Opening with the sound of birds, [...]

I first got wind of "Inside My Mind" via this video of Seth Troxler playing it at Awakenings Festival. I believe he was dropping the original mix, but this remix by Herald & Alex Davis is a bit more melodic and in turn, a bit deeper. Pure vibes. The Inside My Mind EP was released about a year ago on Maya Records and offers additional remixes by K Alexi and Norman Chung. Check'm all out on Beatport . Joeski - Inside My Mind (Herald & Alex Davis Remix)
This East Ender Promo came out this past June as a freebie on Beatport . I'm assuming this was for Sonar, because that's the art for the release on the Beatport page. Anyway, this is actually a nice little pack of tunes, usually when you get a free release of such high caliber producers, it's just left overs from an EP or something, but that's not the case this time. Carlo Lio - Black Luca Bacchetti, David Squillace - Around The Bay [...]
