Qualche settimana fa avevamo parlato degli NRJ Awards, gli Oscar musicali assegnati in Francia da NRJ, la principale radio musicale nazionale, una sorta di MTV tutta francese. Sono il termometro della musica giovanile, ma gli Oscar "ufficiali" della musica francofona sono dal 1985 Les Victoires de La Musique. " Euphoria " di Loreen , brano vincitore dell' Eurovision Song Contest 2012 per la Svezia si aggiudica la terza edizione di "Vota il tormentone pop 20123, il mega sondaggio di Dove c'è musica che voleva scegliere il brano pop europeo (cioè di artisti europei) più bello dell'estate. Un vittoria probabilmente pronosticabile, quella di Loreen, ma in realtà maturata nettamente solo nella seconda parte del sondaggio, quando ha spiccato il volo e non è stata più ripresa. Ancora  poco meno di venti giorni e poi conosceremo il vincitore la terza edizione di  "Vota il tormentone pop" , il sondaggio popolare che vuole eleggere l'inno pop  dell'estate 2012. Loro si chiamano Shaka Ponk e in Francia sono un piccolo fenomeno. Sono attivi dal 2000, ma in realtà da brava band electric-rock  sono sempre stati un pò lontani dal mainstream. First Europavox 2012 acts revealed

Europavox , the French music festival and industry convention, has named the first acts set to appear at this year's edition. The line-up so far: The Hives, Dionysos, Shaka Ponk, Amadou & Mariam, Agoria, 1995, Imany, Mirel Wagner, Django Django, Benga, Baloji, Ewert And The Two Dragons, Woodkid. PHOTOS: The xx @ Music Hall of WIlliamsburg You ever have this feeling when you leave a show and you think to yourself, "that was exactly what I thought it would be." Well that is how I felt leaving The xx's last CMJ show this past Friday. The first band Shaka Ponk I didn't find very good, but the sound seemed off and Mat felt like their recordings are probably pretty good based on their performance.
