Jakarta's tweegaze exponents Sharesprings might not have a long and glorious list of releases to explore but the snippets that can be picked up around the web sure make for a pleasant listen. 'Ceiling Blossom' comes from as far back as 2007 and appears to not have made it past demo stage. Indónesía er heimili ágætar skóglápssveitar sem ég rakst á um daginn. Það virðist nefninlega vera mjög akvív shoegaze sena þar eystra. Sharesprings heitir viðfangsefni þorláksmessu. Þeir félagar Abdul Wahid Sabilillah, Riftyza Gestandi, Ardhi Yudho og Rusli Budianto eru undir miklum áhrifum frá góðkunningjum okkar My Bloody Valentine sem og Yo La Tengo sem ég hef aldrei gerst svo frægur að hlusta á. Sharesprings are a brilliantly noisy pop band from Jakarta, Indonesia. I came upon them on MySpace a couple months ago, probably. I'd planned on mentioning them way earlier – as they're awesome – but they fell through the cracks. They're self-described "tweegazers" and their influences include Yo La Tengo, early My Bloody Valentine, Rocketship. They bring together breathy, reverbed-soaked vocals and noisy, swirling, reverb-soaked guitars to create beautiful soundscapes built upon catchy pop melodies! Ich hatte es ja vor einigen Monaten schon bemerkt - irgendwie scheint in Asien in den letzten Jahren eine vitale Shoegaze/Indiepop-Szene aufgeblüht zu sein, denn eine tolle Band nach der anderen gelangt via Myspace auch an mein Ohr. Diesmal die Sharesprings aus Indonesien - das Quartett führt als Einflüsse My Bloody Valentine, Ride, The Legends und Rocketship an und bezeichnet die eigene Musik als "Tweegaze", was eine sehr passende Umschreibung für die janglegitarrenumspülten Melodien des Quartetts darstellt.
