Tonight (7/30/11) will see Arcade Fire playing to 70,000 people as the openers for the final night of the world's highest grossing tour . Last night, Win and co. temporarily changed their name to Shark Attack! and played an unannounced set to no more than 1,000 people the first night of SappyFest, a small independent music event in New Brunswick. That's some Springsteen-like epicness right there! ArcadeFireTube points us to a video clip from last night, which sees Arcade Fire Shark Attack! performing "Neighbourhood #3 (Power Out)" and [...]

It's only a week until Christmas!! This years mix almost didn't happen because I thought I wouldn't have time to dig up good tracks but then they just started popping up and a lot of them were very cool. I grabbed the best and threw them together here for a holiday mix in three parts. First get funky with the dance party starters then slip into some original X-mas tunes by artists old and new and close it off with some reworked classics. I hope you all enjoy these jams and have yourselves a kick ass holiday season! [...]

What do you get when you mix the boys from All Leather (Nathan Joyner & Justin Pearson) with the giant teeth of the Shark Attack...a far from little group we like to call Leg Lifters. Now all the Boppers are well aware of Shark Attack, but let us repeat the biography of All Leather for the ignorant. Shark Attack - Second in Line at the Used Needle Exchange (Leg Lifters remix) "ALL LEATHER is what one would find on the (dance) floor of a seedy gay bar… the sonic perception of the last true socially [...]

What do you get when you pair electronic music and the boys from All Leather, Nathan Joyner & Justin Pearson, a little number like to call Leg Lifters and with the giant teeth of the Shark Attack these boys are feasting on an awesome song to remix. Now all the Boppers are well aware of Shark Attack, but let us repeat the biography of All Leather for the ignorant. For those of us in the Bay Area who don't get to rave up as often as our brethren in Los Angeles, I'll be playing my first proper gig in San Francisco this Saturday night alongside San Diego homies Shark Attack and Barcelona's Mad Maxx . Get there at 10:00 PM sharp for my opening set and I'll reward you with many GDD stickers. Pre-sale tickets are available at BLAST-SF . • Shark Attack - Ghost Knives (Disco Villains Remix)

I've been to Ozzfest, Slayer & Slipknot concerts and I've never had any problem lasting the whole show, or at least a whole set in the front, buried among the many sweaty, swaying bodies. However, at the Beetroots performance in San Diego, House Of Blues..I found myself for the first time ever having to TAP OUT! The crowd was so horny for the roots...and with their Deathcrew 77 LIVE set...who couldn't be. That night we were all victim to the energy each song carried and when every song echoed throughout the venue, we were all puppets on a [...]
Photo by bassqee I'm trying to find out why Shark Attack named this song "Second in line at the used needle exchange". Anyway, this track is the new single from their upcoming EP... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.

![Shark Attack, Shooting Judas Album [Review]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2138708_lg.jpg)
Shooting Judas by Shark Attack Shooting Judas was released in June of 2009 and nearly five months later tracks are still being remixed and making headway on the scene. The first track, 'Creation ex Nihilo' is the perfect opening track. 'Northern City Riot' is a perfect reflection of helplessness and fear with it's high pitched and violent screech..but so much maturity with the breaks placed in between. One moment its rough and mean and then we are catching our breaths again! I slowly feel the waters turning and by the time, 'This Way, I know a [...]

You may recognize the Disco Villains from their frantic remix of 'We Are Your Friends.' Well, they're back, and in my opinion, destined for greatness. I've always known that they could throw down sick bangers, but they've really tightened up their sound in this remix. Enjoy! (via straightSilly ) Disco Villains are a pretty common name in the blogosphere and they were even more common when they came on the scene last July. Their newish remix of Shark Attack 's "Ghost Knives" is in the same vein as their previously released stuff and I'm glad to see they haven't changed their pitch up. It seems a lot of kids jumped on and off the "banging blog house" bandwagon, but these guys are still coming correct. The guys were actually in town a couple of weeks ago for Kid [...]

now thats a big drop. yep, biiiggggggggggg drop (of tracks). And they're all pretty phat tracks too which gets me warm that special area, it should do the same to yours. lets get down to business: Interesting drop at 1min mark, it leaves you wanting more bass, and if it was an afrojack remix you'd get it but not in this. Shark Attack - Ghost Knives (Disco Villains remix) (320 Kbps) Gotta love DSL, bunch [...]

Sorry for the delay [insert excuse here]. If anybody reads this blog anymore, you may remember that we get regular updates from our Mexicali friends Louie Fresco and Tony Edit... aka Disco Villains. After several months of silence and diligent studio work, they've released their new EP (not new anymore if you consider it's been out since August). Check out beatport for the EP... but get your dance feet prepped with some of their own remix material from the last couple months. Shark Attack - Ghost Knives (Disco Villains Remix) | [...]
I always wonder why Shark Attack isn't creating huge buzz. Their debut album Shooting Judas is banging & they've played along with other awesome electronic artists like Disco... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.

The Disco Villians returned to the scene a time ago with their EP "We just came to get the party started" and immediately they had our attention again. This time no own production but a remix they did about a month ago for "Ghost Knives" a track on Shark Attack 's new album called "Shooting Judas". The original track is, as they like to call it, a real banger track, so for the remix they did somewhat of a semi "tech house" meets "banger" track. Shark Attack - Ghost Knives (Disco Villains RMX)
