She's The Queen is a New York City-based electro-pop duo composed of producer Drew Kuryloski and singer Emily White. After putting out their debut EP last year, the duo is back with a brand new single, "Talk To Me." We're excited to celebrate its release today by premiering a brand new video for the track. Shot and edited by visual artist Aaron Alexis (whose credits includes work for Kitsuné and Chromat), the video follows Emily as she goes on a dream-like stroll through streets of New York City. She's The Queen's Talk To Me [...]

Today sees the long awaited release of New York ElectroPop duo She’s The Queen ’s ‘Talk To Me’. It’s released by me, and frankly that makes me feel a little weird about writing about it, so I’m just going to copy and past the press release…also by me. Suffice to say it’s fucking awesome, if it wasn't I wouldn’t have devoted the last few months of my life to it. This September New York ElectroPop Duo She's The Queen release their fresh new single, Talk To Me. Upbeat and catchy, Talk To Me sees Drew Kuryloski [...]

German nu-disco specialist digitalfoxglove has rubbed up electro-pop duo She's The Queen and their catchy dreamwave single "Talk To Me" . Taking out the sensible pop stuff, DFG (one quarter of Ride The Universe) swaps in throbbing and pulsey synths along with a brilliant chord-ial breakdown and chopped vocals! Feeling cues from M83 on this one. The single drops September 21st on Electric rumours with (other) remixes from Lightwaves, Odahl, silenx, embryonik and jeremy grasso

As we reported earlier , one of our favourite blog colleagues, Electronic Rumors , has branched out by adding a record label to the job description. Now it's time for their second release in the form of New York electropop duo She's the Queen . The band consist of Drew Kuryloski and Emily White, and they make soulful dance-pop marinated in nu disco and dreamwave. Judging by their name, I'm guessing Drew is the one carrying all those heavy analogue synths to their gigs. "Talk to Me" is [...]

Held together pop-expertly by Drew Kuryloski & Emily White, She’s The Queen newest ‘Talk To Me’ electro-pop swizzle, grabs the uptempo contemporary pedestal for potential sofa morning TV interviews and future radio-time slots for promotion & coverage. Gracefully written, the weird & wonderful control gets embroiled over by Embryonik’s truly-electro stretches and instrumental-backing harmony. Underground favourites Silenx , GRASSO , Lightwaves , ODahl , digitalfoxglove get involved on this release of ‘Talk To Me’ also.. and to make matters even more aurally-palatable, Lightwaves makes a special mashup fusing [...]

I’m not really well versed in the ways of Jeff Buckley, I think it comes from being British and not really into Rock, She’s The Queen have tried to educate me but I’m just not having any of it. What I will have a little slice of, however, their cover of the man’s ‘Last Goodbye’. It’s their tribute to his, apparently he’s dead. I don’t know about that, I’ll have to take their word for it. Wikipedia backs them up, but y’know, anyone can edit that. I’m sure there’s no conspiracy, I’m just saying it’s not [...]
She's The Queen are pretty much family now, so everything the release had better be amazing or it’s gonna’ get pretty awkward around here pretty quickly. Luckily that’s not a bridge we’ve had to cross yet as showcased by their latest track, a reMix of Montreal based Indie-Electro outfit Stars ’ ‘We Don't Want Your Body’, which is (thankfully) amazing. She’s The Queen’s Drew shows off his production chops one again with this mix, taking the raucous original and reeling it in to a slick summery ElectroPop class act. The layers of synth here are all [...]

I’m predicting big things for She’s The Queen . Still riding high on the euphoria of being featured on ‘ electronic rumors Volume 1 ’ the ElectroPop duo made the slightly confused decision to sign with a record label, that record label being the freshly formed electronic rumors, a decision they made under the advice of their manager, me, do you see where this is going? I’m not really their manager (they just bully me into doing that) I am , however, releasing their new single and some amazing reMixes, it’s gonna’ be huge, but [...]

Well, it’s finally out in the wild, the last seven months of my life have come to fruition as we are amazingly proud to present ‘ electronic rumors volume 1’. I won’t go on about it, it’s possible that i would have a hard time reviewing it objectively, so take a listen to Ride The Universe's awesome minimix of the compilation featuring all 15 tracks. It’s almost weird that it’s real now and if you like physical media I would really recommend the CD, it comes in a stunning DigiPak designed by Sebastian Bentler [...]
Fresh from walking home with the big one at the electronic rumors awards ElectroPop duo She's The Queen have dropped a brand new reMix of ‘The Way’ by Lightwaves (Jan from Yes Giantess!). Jan has taken the soulful Pop track and turned it into an Ibiza monster that would make Ministry Of Sound proud. Straight to the big room, the reMix balances Nu-Disco with a Balearic euphoria and some nice Electro inserts. Despite the vocal manipulation Lightwaves has managed to keep the feel of the track intact, but give [...]

Lightwaves got his hands on She's the Queen's - The Way and created a remix that will surely have people dancing deep into the new year. As far as I'm concerned, It doesn't get any better than this in the world of Electronic-Pop and hope to hear more remixes and collabs from these extremely underrated artists in the near future. Say 'thank you' for the FREE download by following Lightwaves on Twitter and check out some amazing synthy-pop tunes via She's the Queen's SoundCloud !! [...]
So here we are. After a year when the current wave of ElectroPop, Nu-Disco, SynthWave, Nu-Italo and Dreamwave all seemed to find a maturity, seemed to suddenly become a lot more confortable with themselves and their groove, we find ourselves with a nearly impossible job for picking the top twenty songs of the year, and a winner. To those we missed, or forgot, we’re sorry. We’ll be beating ourselves up about it for weeks to come as some awesome track from January slides back into our brain, but it’s time to stop worrying and just go [...]

She’s the Queen is the hopelessly charming electro-pop duo comprised of producer Drew Kuryloski and vocalist Emily White, and we first met them a while back by way of their self-titled debut EP. Emily was nice enough to keep us in the loop and pass along their latest, “Talk to Me”. So infectious, and so [...]

She’s the Queen is the hopelessly charming electro-pop duo comprised of producer Drew Kuryloski and vocalist Emily White, and we first met them a while back by way of their self-titled debut EP . Emily was nice enough to keep us in the loop and pass along their latest, “Talk to Me”. So infectious, and so danceable, She’s the Queen have really created a signature track with “Talk to Me”, not to mention their most club-ready song thus far. White evokes Thelma Houston or Dona Summer with her sweeping vocals against Kuryloski’s frosty synths, [...]

I don't tend to post the same repeating artists on 1146 miles for a couple reasons-mainly, I like to spread around the love and good vibes and partly because I know I won't ever hear all the music in the world and as a subconscious nod to my mortality, I want to make my best effort to hear as much as I possibly can. My voracious appetite doesn't cease and the discovery (whether through the inbox, Bandcamp, or other blogs) is where I derive the greatest pleasure. It's rare that I can get the same joy as discovery and that's [...]

She’s The Queen have finally released their new track, ‘Talk To Me’. Was it worth the wait? Why yes, yes it was… This track should come with a disclaimer, or at the very least a health warning. One listen is all it takes, and you’ll be humming the chorus all day, and the next. ‘Talk To Me’, with it’s epic chorus, Disco funk and perfect Pop structure, just reinforces my bewilderment that no major label has snapped up this duo yet. It’s seriously staggering that She’s The Queen aren’t releasing singles that storm the charts. they don;t [...]
She’s the Queen is Drew Kuryloski and vocalist Emily White, and we’ve been enjoying their self-titled debut EP for a while now. I had been wondering what the NYC/Philadelphia based duo had been up to, so it was a lovely surprise when Ms. White passed along their new track, “The Way”. “Waiting Game” was an [...]
