This one's not, perhaps, the biggest challenge of the list. Shirley Bassey, star of one out of three of Tom Jones' anecdotes. I suspect there'll be a special edition of The Voice dedicated to just those. So, what shall we go with? How about whisking ourselves back to one of the strangest periods of Saturday night light entertainment, when Mike Yarwood and Shirley Bassey had a perplexing slot-sharing agreement which saw their programmes alternate: one week it'd be unconvincing Denis Healey impersonations; the next - heralded by Shirley throwing shapes on a speedboat - it would be Bassey.
That's right a NEW (to me and likely you) track from Ms Lana Del Rey. This pouty bombshell was apparently recording Born to Die in a studio next to UK rapper Smiler. Smiler invited her in to sing the vocals on the Shirley Bassey cover of Big Spender. The result is this banger that's going to be on Smiler's new album. Dig.

The LANA DEL REY has co-covered the SHIRLEY BASSEY's BIG SPENDER mp3 as part of her collabs with he-rapper the SMILER . Wanna spend some time with the mp3 ? I'd say don't as you can't erase and rewind this from your memoirs once you've played with a her ..

Lana Del Rey teamed up with rapper Smiler back in 2010 when she was probably just known as Lizzie Grant to cover 'Big Spender' by Shirley Bassey, and now the collaboration has surfaced. Smiler might not be the most exciting rapper around, but it seems he's pretty smart when it comes down to knowing when to release a track. Have a listen to the track - which is set to appear on his new mixtape All I Know (out February 27th) - below.

In Glee's 'I Am Unicorn,' preparation for Glee's 'West Side Story' production includes songs from West Side Story ('Something's Coming' and 'Somewhere') as well as one from Barbra Streisand's Funny Girl ('I'm the Greatest Star').
It's amazing how many blogs are citing this as a Fugees/ Lauren Hill cover. For all that don't know, and we are surprised about this, Roberta Flack originally sand this song. It was also covered by Carly Simon , Teresa Teng , Cleo Laine , Blossom Dearie , Al B. Sure! , Carole King , Herb Alpert , Engelbert Humperdinck , Tori Amos , Alison Moyet , Eva Cassidy , Perry Como , Harry Connick, Jr. , The Jackson 5 , Mina , Anne Murray , Sérgio Mendes & Brasil '77, Luther Vandross , Colbie Caillat , Susan Boyle , [...]

Check out some sick sounds Detroit's Butch Clancy . Never did I ever expect someone to pull of a good remix of Sia's "Breathe Me", but this guy sure did. Check out my favorites below! Muusers, meet Tatiana (Okupnik). With a stunning, full-bodied set of pipes that place her somewhere snugly in between Shirley Bassey and Amy Winehouse (thanks for the spot-on comparisons, press release!), the powerhouse Polka-who sort of resembles a Polish Amelle Berrabah -has already achieved household name status in her native Poland as the lead singer of band Blue Café , as well as in her own right as a solo artist with her 2007 debut, On My Own . In 2010, Tatiana relocated to England in an attempt [...]
A look at the Glee covers from the 'Silly Love Songs' episode, including songs by Paul McCartney and Wings, Michael Jackson, Katy Perry and more.

I'm back! World Wide Internets is all fixed now! Huzzah! But I turn my back for one minute however and down goes my one of my favorite composers, John Barry . If you haven't deduced from today's art by now you may know him as the guy that composed pretty much 90% of all the James Bond soundtracks including the most recognizable spy jingle in history, the James Bond Theme . While Morricone, Schfrin, Goldsmith and Williams are all geniuses in my book, no one quite hit those high, over-the-top brassy notes [...]

The story goes that Jim Morrison hated Light My Fire, The Doors' great breakthrough hit. Recorded in August 1966, it was released in January 1967, at the dawn of the so-called Summer of Love. If it was true that Morrison disliked it, I'd sort of concur with his judgment. In fact, he didn't hate the song, but resented that he had only a small part in writing his band's signature hit (most of it was written by guitarist Robby Krieger). I don't like The Doors much, and have more respect than affection for their version of Light My [...]
