Alix Perez hit the Radio 1 decks last week with his debut Essential Mix, a careful alliance of tracks representing the core of his preferred sound. Perez is first and foremost a drum-and-bass producer, but in his 120 minutes with Radio 1, it'd be easy to not really know that. He's experimental and "nu skool," often associated with the more "liquid" side of drum and bass. With fewer samples and more layers, liquid is often defined as a calmer, more appropriate cousin to the breakneck 160-180 bpm pace of a traditional, rave-friendly drum-and-bass. [...]

Rockwell , Kito , Sam Frank , équipe de choc pour un clip à la hauteur du trio. Réalisé par Jack Chute , la vidéo de « Childhood Memories » nous plonge dans notre enfance comme l'indique le titre, Figurines, films, objets rappelant les années 90, tout ce bordel réunit avec des visuels épurés (parfois l'inverse) et efficaces.

Icicle n'en est pas à son coup d'essai chez Shogun Audio , il nous a déjà bien épaté avec « Alien Groove » et « Exhale » par exemple, il revient fin mai avec un EP 100% solo, « BNC EP » . Un maxi ma foi, très surprenant, il faut dire que le producteur ne nous avait guère habitué à sortir un EP full dubstep. Du 140bpm du début à la fin avec sa baguette magique pour ajouter le charme de chaque tracks, et nous voici avec un résultat approuvé. [...]
