![Brandon's TBE Digest 29 – [10.11.2011] New Jams, Remixes, & Covers!](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3782321_lg.jpg)
Artwork by Jacob Youngblood Ziegler Brandon's TBE Digest is a place where I gather up all the recent jams that are worth a listen (or 10) but don't necessarily need their own post. Here you will find new tracks by known bands, remixes, covers, and even mashups if they are interesting. My favorites of the lot are in bold . It's a big one folks. Proceed with caution (and good speakers). Also note the new Digest logo that will be here to stay. Enough of that little weird cartoon guy [...]

If you want some fun in the sun and you're in Brooklyn you've got two killer options. If you're in Bushwick there's the Out In The Streets fest, which is a street party with tons of bands including Sigmund Droid, Shadowbox, Fan-Tan and more. They're handing out free beer from 3-5pm, cover is $10. If you're in the burg then check out the JellyNYC Rock Yard. Motel Motel is playing that one with CSC

![[Listen] – #MusicMonday – 20 Songs Of The Week – July 26th](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2709885_lg.jpg)
If you're unaware of what Music Monday is, it's a Twitter recommendation system where users of Twitter share their favourite music, artists, genres, etc in order to not only find new music themselves but help others find new music too. Using the hashtag (#) followed by "MusicMonday" you can easily find new music posted by the thousands of people making recommendations each week. Every #MusicMonday I upload a playlist of 20 songs that I've been listening to (new and old) over the past week [...]
As I said yesterday when I posted Sigmund Droid's other EP "Interpretation Of Screams", these guys impressed the shit outta me. Their music manages to flit between some of the most fuzzed-up bass lines you'll hear this side of Le Tigre and an Electro group of lion tamers. Some of the beats are just ridiculous and you can't help but get the down down (yeah that's a double down...the dancing equivalent of a double rainbow) and rock the fuck out at the same time. I was lucky enough to get my hands on two of their EPs thanks [...]
Ever wondered what a Cake/Towers Of London/Queens Of The Stone Age hybrid might sound like? Of course you have, who hasn't? It's something that's crossed my mind frequently but now I don't have to wonder. Now I know! It comes in the form of Sigmund Droid, a band that, contrary to what their name might suggest, are not a German Electro lion-tamer group. I was damn fucking impressed when I was sent their music that manages to flit between some of the most fuzzed-up bass lines you'll hear this side of Le Tigre and an Electro group of [...]
My homeboys Sigmund Droid have a new video and it's pretty damn awesome...
Take a trip down memory lane with Sigmund Droid in their brand new video for one of our favorite tracks, " Things !"

I'm too tired and you're too anxious. Let's get this show on the road. I'll drop some kind of '09 wrap up speech in "The Best Albums of '09 / The Top 153 which should be out soooon. In the meantime, nibble on these biscuits. And leave your comments! You guys have piped up louder than ever lately and I love hearing what Team TBE thinks. Cause if two brains are better than one, well than imagi.... ok, we get it, let's do this! Oh, and since ranking albums is for wieners ( songs are OK) I [...]

i try to say goodbye and she kisses me hello ♫ Sigmund Droid - Implied I Sigmund Droid first found they their way to my ears a few years back when their faux-British full-crunchy jam "Liverpool Sluts" (below, from their Interpretation of Scream s EP) was my go-to fist pumper. I even jacked that intro guitar lick as my ringtone for a while. Pretty epic times. Well fast-forward 3 years, and one curiosity inspired Google search, and here we are. The duo just released the Maximum Grind EP, [...]

We have to admit we were having trouble recollecting what made 2009 memorable, but after sifting through hundreds of nominations we pulled the best for the final reader's poll! A lot of people asked us why we're polling and the answer is twofold. First, it allows us the opportunity to know what you, the reader, is into and thus better serve you in the future. Secondly, it's a good way for us to check out the artists you've suggested that we've never heard of! The poll will remain open until [...]

For the first time ever I'm having a public party for my birthday. I asked a bunch of bands to play and I think the lineup is pretty solid and fun.Sigmund Droid: These dudes have been one of my favorites for years now and have played 2 Ski Club shows in the past. I'm not sure I'd be having this show if they couldn't play.Cerebral Ballzy: This band is just fucking awesome! High energy thrash /
I survived the summer of 2009, ie. The Summer Of Death. OK, so the whole summer of death thing is bullshit and totally blown out of proportion but nonetheless it's a great excuse to celebrate being alive. So on October 9th come to Tommy's Tavern to celebrate my birthday. This is the first public bday party I've ever had so let's make sure it doesn't suck horse turds.I chose Tommy's Tavern because
