Alphabet Pony Oxford, UK Facebook | Twitter | Soundcloud Alphabet Pony was the first guy I asked to do an interview with, after hearing 'Atoms' for the first time I was hooked, it's incredible. Just listen for yourself if you don't believe me. He also uses by far, the best samples. His music career has gone from strength to strength associating himself with the likes of the worlds biggest DJs/producers; from Zeds Dead to Skream (woah!). Hey [...]

Before I rave about our January booking, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported our first Signal event . I think I can vouch for everyone on the Signal crew when I say you all made our kickoff show a wonderful one. Having said that, there is no doubt in my mind that our follow-up guest will be just as spectacular. Pearson Sound. And that's all I'm going to say. Thursday, January 19 @ Smartbar: Pearson Sound DJ Warp Sparkletone [...]

I normally begin these posts highlighting upcoming local releases by taking a look back and discussing some of the records that came out the month before. But seeing as we've just crossed over into 2012, I think we should avert our eyes from 2011 and march relentless forward into the new year. And if January's crop of releases is any indication of what to expect, it appears that we're going to be in for an extremely productive and fruitful year in local music. There's a slew of great stuff to wade through here, both from established Atlanta veterans and newcomers [...]

Identity: Kyle Stewart ( download hi-res Dubbel Dutch poster) (warning: it's really hi-res) Well, this is quite exciting. Once again, one of the only clubs taking chances in Chicago has decided to open its doors to the "unusual". Ladies and gentleman, I'm proud to announce Signal , a brand new monthly party at SmartBar featuring the emerging sounds of Bass, Garage and UK Funky. To kick off this wonderful event, we've summoned the classiest selector in Texas. Yep, it's Dubbel Dutch . With a fresh release on Mixpak Records and a deep knowledge [...]

Rack N Ruin has just produced a stunning podcast for Data Transmission. His signature style laid out for all to see: dark, skulking beats and woozy atmospherics. The battle over digital music royalties has begun again. The U.S. Copyright Royalty Judges have opened a new proceeding to set the statutory rates for 2013-2017 with a decision expected by the end of 2012. In recent weeks, Sirus XM has reportedly been talking to record labels and other rights holders about direct licensing. At the same time, in a move that could affect digital music providers beyond Sirius, SoundExchange has signaled they will push for much higher payments. "We have long been preparing for this proceeding, and are planning to seek a [...]
![Rest In Peace- Signals To Vega [Ex-Some Are Gods] (2011) [ITR? Exclusive Downloads]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3633490_lg.jpg)
Something has been off for the past month. I didn't know what it was until just this morning. I was informed of the news about a month ago, and I have just kept it all inside, but I feel like I'm more upset about this than I should be. Signals To Vega started out as Some Are Gods, a band we featured quite frequently here at Is This Revolutionary?. The reason why is that on top of them being such great guys, their demo touched me in a way that few bands truly have, and it was only [...]

Brain Idea — Signals Having just recently gained an appreciation for the immaculate sounds of the Flying Nun catalog, I'm finding the kiwi-flavored rock of Brain Idea 's new Cosmos Factory EP (out on Mexican Summer ) to be nothing short of a godsend. It's not hard to hear echoes of The Clean and The Verlaines in the mostly instrumental "Signals", which bobs along on a lightweight jangle and mellowed vocal harmonies— [...]

New video for the Siriusmo track "Signal." I gave the electronic solo project's debut album, Mosaik , a pretty positive review. Lotta great tracks on there, and more variety than your average album. Look for the LP on Monkeytown Recs . -
