Silversun Pickups contributed to Record Store Day's "Back to Black Friday" with a 103 vinyl, 'Seasick.' The 103 features three previously unreleased tracks, including the title track as well as b-sides from the Swoon sessions, "Broken Bottles" and "Ribbons & Detours." Staying with the theme of recording especially lengthy songs that the Silversun Pickups set forth with their 2009 release Swoon we now have the especially long song title track "Seasick" off the band's Black Friday/Winter Record Store Day 103. Coming in at nearly 7:00, "Seasick" reminds us that just because a track is long doesn't mean that it has to be packed with filler noise and versus that don't profit the track. Last month we told you of an upcoming Bob Dylan tribute album being put together in celebration of Amnesty International's 50th anniversary. At the time, My Morning Jacket, Adele, David Matthews Band, and Ke$ha were among the confirmed participants. Now, the set's entire tracklist has been revealed, and Ke$ha's cover of "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" is just the beginning of the insanity. Spanning four discs and 75 tracks (!!!) , Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International packages together new or previously unreleased Dylan covers from artist of all different genres [...]

It's been a hot minute since we've heard from Los Angeles rock band Silversun Pickups . However, later this month, fans will be able to pick up three previously unreleased tracks from the band. As part of Record Store Day's Black Friday promotion on November 25th, Dangerbird Records will release a 103 single from the Pickups called "Seasick". Well well well my friends. I know I'm a new writer and all so you probably don't really sympathize or anything but I finished my last class of my undergrad yesterday and praise be. Their music has featured in the likes of 'One Tree Hill', 'Entourage' and the new series of 'Beverley Hills 90210' as well as movies 'Endgame' and 'Mama's Boy'. They've toured with such names as The Horrors, Air, The Mystery Jets , The Wedding Present and Silversun Pickups. They've even appeared on The Carson Daly show.
