A friend of mine just messaged me asking if I'd heard Savages yet. I had heard the single "Husbands" the other day on Sirius XMU and almost had to pull over. Back when we first heard "Entertainment," the lead single from Phoenix's upcoming studio LP Bankrupt! , it wasn't hard to pick up on the classical Asian vibe. Indeed, the song was compared to Siouxsie and The Banshees' " Hong Kong Garden " for the similar, unmistakable lead aesthetic, of which director Patrick Daughters utilizes.
