Siouxsie and the Banshees "Face to Face"
Siouxsie and the Banshees- The Killing Jar You know those nights where you end up spending a few hours on youtube and suddenly, you get to parts where the comment section is filled with comments that you're on 'the weird part of youtube again'? I usually for some reason, end up on the Siouxsie Sioux part of youtube again and again. http://www.siouxsieandthebansh ees.co.uk/

Happy holidaze everyone. I'll (sadly) be out of town all week, which makes recording and posting music hard. My plan is to have two most posts this week though. One will be without music, focusing on my favorite (and least favorite) albums of the year. The other will have awesome dance tracks. Let's hope that all pans out. Tonight: 80s pop! What's a better way to celebrate whatever holiday you pretend to care about in order to get gifts? Art Of Noise Moments In Love (Long Version) [...]
British legends Siouxsie and the Banshees are reportedly planning to release a 20-disc compilation of their work. Slicing Up Eyeballs has the details from bassist Steven Severin, who says: "It's intended as the 'complete' box. All the studio albums plus singles plus non BBC live recordings & TV clips. So, if you have this plus At the BBC plus Downside Up you will have EVERYTHING bar the promo videos which I presume will surface as a stand-alone set eventually." Severin has also explained that there are more pieces that are possibly in [...]
Alanis Morissette has a version that bores me
The Glove A Perfect Murder An astonishing track from The Glove 's Blue Sunshine , a side-project of Robert Smith from The Cure and Steven Severin from Siouxsie & The Banshees . Jeanette Landray, who has some gorgeous and rich songs in a far too sparse discography, provided the main vocals for the album but doesn't appear on this [...]

Shannon and the Clams as CCR - Is that John Fogerty? Blurry but beautiful times at Oakland's Lobot Gallery last Thursday. This was a Halloween party of sorts with lots of spooky costumes. All bands were Oakland-based and played in a giant mouth. $2 Tecates at the bar. One crazy kat was doing cartwheels. Doin' the pogo I somehow wound up with someone's pocketknife in my pocket! Uzi Rash as Undertones Primary Colors started off the night with a fierce exploration of all [...]

Been dying to feature 70s glam groover 20th Century Boy , by T Rex , for some time now. One would think there would be a virtual velvet goldmine's worth of amazing covers, yet instead my ears have been bored by the tepid lot of note-for-notes out there. Determined not to pack away the eyeliner just yet, I dug deeper and found a trio of Versions worthy versions. Leading with a personal fave is eclectic UK trio Belleruche . No strangers to VG they [...]
The HBO hit drama True Blood delivers another great soundtrack.

Belgian synpopsensation Shindu turn Siouxsie and the Banshees' 'Happy House' into a fun summer dance track.

Shindu - Happy House [Siouxsie & The Banshees] | zs
Kitsuné Music 's latest single release is Belgian act Shindu 's take on Siouxsie And The Banshees 1980 hit 'Happy House'. It's a track that was begging for a modern workover and Shindu have certainly lived up to the challenge. Dropping Topical and Disco vibes over the song works so well. Produced by Moonlight Matters the track is already being tipped to be one of tunes of the summer. London's ElectroPop double act supreme JBAG take it to the next level though with a huge dancefloor aimed retro monster of a track. With a killer [...]
