I got another one of those strange and rare creatures today: a promo email that I actually enjoyed. Sir Salvatore is from San Francisco, and chances are if you like Pavement, Pinback, or earlier Long Winters you'll love these fellas. It's math rock but with a hint of shoe gaze: lo-fi vocals that sound like they were recorded through a can, the cleanest and smallest guitars I've heard in recent memory. The songs are great to these ears: small things, with a lot happening under the surface. I strongly recommend you study up on these guys, methinks we'll [...]
San Fransisco's Sir Salvatore make a lo-fi Strokes-infused noise that's bouncy and hip. They'll be releaseing their new EP, Those Men Are Not Astronauts on Monday, April 23 at San Fransisco's The Knockout . Si chiamano Sir Salvatore e sono un quartetto di recente formazione. Il 23 aprile è prevista la pubblicazione del primo EP " Those Men Are Not Astronauts ". Nel frattempo, ci regalano due tracce: un convincente e scoppiettante singolo, "Hooray This Projector" , che, chiudendo gli occhi, potrei quasi piazzare in un [...]
