Sacramento's Sister Crayon recently dropped their Cynic EP, featuring the smoldering " Floating Heads " and the title track , for which they have crafted a witchy, woodsy video. The clip spotlights the band's vocalist Terra Lopez like a dark siren, singing to entice spirits, while bandmate Dani Hernandez backs her up on what looks like a ghostly game of Simon. Since forming in 2009, Oakland-based outfit Sister Crayon has captured an electronic soul sound colored with experimental, shoegazey vibrations. After starting out as a duo, the band evolved into a four-piece project, though founders Terra Lopez and Dani Fernandez remain at the helm of the their group's creative direction, particularly for its latest offering, the Cynic EP. Sister Crayon is the Oakland-based duo of Terra Lopez and Dani Fernandez. After their debut in 2011, Bellow , and a lot of touring last year, the two spent last fall recording their follow-up Cynic. The five-track EP is a confessional piece, approaching topics most personal to both members.
