I still haven't done the thing I talked about doing last week , opening this column up to late-night peformances or fan-taped camera-phone concert vids. Skrillex has posted up an image of himself and Australian beatmaker Flume in the studio on his instagram! Captioned simply as "Studio hang with the dog @flumemusic ..OI OI OI!" it plays out a few different options - a little tongue in cheek with a classic Australian chant or you could almost see this fitting into Skrillex's work with Boys Noize as Dog Blood with the dog reference and 'Oi Oi Oi one of Boys Noize's earlier albums. One of my favorite tracks off Long.Live.A$AP gets the visual treatment. In all honesty I was expecting something a little different for this video. Like a club setting, lots of drinking and well, more women. In any event, A$AP get "wild" in the Dominican Republic with Skrillex.

So, this video cost a lot of money. Lavish and extravagant, taking place/filmed in the Dominican Republic, the guiltiest pleasure off of A$AP's latest album, Long Live A$AP now has a music video. The video is a little confusing, but still worth a view or two. I don't understand how putting pale-assed Skrillex in the DR seemed like a good idea, much less giving him a "featuring" credit as opposed to a "produced by" credit. Clams Casino sure doesn't get this kinda love.

While out in the Dominican Republic, A$AP Rocky linked with Skrillex + Birdy Nam Nam to shoot the visuals for “Wild For The Night.” Check out the official music video below & pick up your copy of Long.Live.A$AP , on iTunes . Directed by Chris Robinson & A$AP Rocky.

As a rapper, A$AP Rocky's greatest gift is for creating a sticky bad-dream sort of atmosphere. And on Long.Live.A$AP , his debut album, only one song rips right through that carefully cultivated vibe: "Wild For The Night," a blaring dance-rap banger produced by bro-step titan Skrillex. Rocky and the veteran rap video director (and auteur of the underrated T.I. vehicle ATL ) Chris Robinson have now teamed up to make the video, shooting it in the Dominican Republic. Personally I'm not a fan of A$AP Rocky , but I do always find myself head bopping to the Skrillex remix of " Goin' In ". Reading the Youtube comments is quite hilarious, with A$AP fans asking why the OWSLA owner is even there, unaware without him this track wouldn't exist (not to mention Birdy Nam Nam ). The combination is still a little surprising, although Skrill and his OWSLA crew do have there mits in a bunch of electronic music across the scene.
