I wonder if the Slaughterhouse guys ever go into a song thinking only a couple of them are going to rap on it, and then after a short time, everyone ends up on demanding to get on. On this new joint, "Truth or Truth", all of them get a lot off their chest regarding their personal lives, their relationship with Hip Hop, and much more. The original is Rick Ross' "Tears of Joy" featuring Cee-Lo and produced by No I.D. This one is off their forthcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, On The House . Peep it below.
Tears of Joy is becoming one of my favorite beats to have come out in the past few years. Just seems like every rapper to hop on the No I.D. joint ends up blacking out on it. This one is no different, featuring the lyrical juggernaut supergroup. Royce does come off weakest on the track, but Joe Budden locks in. Joey might have a verse of the year candidate here and shows why his honesty has earned him his cult fan base. Their mixtape On The House [...]

By Robert Freeman August 2, 2012 Dirty surfer savant garage wonder child Ty Segall gambles onstage at the Tufnell Park Dome to open with a slightly unexpected anecdote about it being ‘a nice day’ and ‘going for a run’ (ffs bro) before tuning a guitar up and smashing everyone’s faces in with a brutal rendition of ‘Skin.’ It's rock and roll and blues melodies with a decent helping of seventies punk and eighties hardcore emerging into some kind of aggressive garage lo-fi, but whether it’s the more chilled-out dirge of Goodbye [...]

Slaughterhouse – “Truth Or Truth”
Some of Slaughterhouse's finest moments have come when they rhyme over other rappers' beats and "Truth or Truth" is the latest on the list. Created over Officer Ricky's "Tears of [...] The post Slaughterhouse - "Truth Or Truth" appeared first on The Smoking Section .
Slaughterhouse – “Goodbye” (Produced by Boi-1da)

[Hip-Hop] Slaughterhouse – Goodbye ft. Skylar Grey (Prod. Boi-1DA)
With an all-star line up including Royce Da 5'93 , Joe Budden , Joell Ortiz , and Crooked I , Slaughterhouse is bringing its A-game once again. The Shady Records supergroup goes in over a hard-hitting piano with a melodic chorus by the beautiful Skylar Grey . Talking about their own experiences with death, each member (minus Royce) channels the angst that comes with losing someone. Each verse brings a new level of pain and this emotional ballad is [...]

Slaughterhouse – “See Dead People” P. AraabMuzik
Can we all agree that we're anticipating Slaughterhouse 's new mixtape, On The House , much more than their sophomore full-length, Welcome To: Our House ? If not, then at least we can agree that the tape will probably have a lot more to offer in terms of off-the-wall lyricism. And, honestly, these four dudes are at their best when they're allowed to just spit whatever the fuck they want for however long they want. Like they do across On The House leak "See Dead People", a menacing nearly eight-minute-long (!) joint produced by AraabMuzik [...]
