MP3: Ty Segall Band - Wave Goodbye Riff of the year. 'Nuff said.
Crooked I has been one of hip-hop's best kept secrets until his recent ties with Eminem's Slaughterhouse. Exodus 23:1 is one of the highlights of his June mixtape Psalm 82:v6 and it features Crooked I's evolved flow. While he uses less double time in recent years, the lyrics have remained on point with a clearer more melodic flow. Quality gangster rap is hard to find these days but Crooked I's lyrical perspective keeps the genre alive and in damn good fashion.
Ty Segall has announced his third album of the year, Twins, completing the trilogy that he promised at the beginning of the year with his previous two releases, Hair and Slaughterhouse. Ty Segall - Slaughterhouse By Kenny McMurtrie Ty Segall is one of those artists for whom the word prolific is an understatement. Over the last seven years he’s turned up in around half a dozen bands, released numerous singles and albums with those as well as solo, and has three albums for release in 2012, of which Slaughterhouse is the second. Leaning more towards spacerock than the typically garage sound of previous works, this is the sound of a guy way too young to get [...]
1. "Accident Murderers" - Nas feat. Rick Ross. This is another single from Nas' 10th studio album Life Is Good , due out July 17th. This track follows "The Don" and "Daughters" as singles from the album, and the rest of the album includes features from Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton, Large Professor, Amy Winehouse and more. This song links Nastradamus and Rozay again and is very solid, this is Rick Ross at his best. Nas feat. Rick Ross - Accident Murderers 2. "Don't Stop" - Mike Jaggerr feat. Maffew Ragazino. This is from Jaggerr's upcoming project [...]

Slaughterhouse gets Swizzy on a track for their new single, Throw It Away . Anytime Swizz Beatz has the first words on a track it automatically sounds like a Swizz Beatz track. Slaughterhouse spits some casual bars over the breakbeat sample and lets Swizz throw his signature mark all over the track. Let us know what you think.

With two new releases in 2012, garage rock revivalist Ty Segall has pushed himself to the forefront of this rough and wild style of music. WATCH THE REVIEW
It's a double dose of hard and heavy Tuesday. Ty Segall Band put out Slaughterhouse , while A Place to Bury Strangers released Worship . Both albums are worth checking out if you can handle it. I give a thumbs up to both.
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars It's been an extremely busy couple of years for Ty Segall ; he's fronted his own project, joined up with White Fence and now he's got an effort with the Ty Segall Band -it's gotta be hard to keep all of that straight. That being said, over-working yourself can often lead to mistakes, and while I am not saying those exist, I do feel like something is amiss on this effort. Coming into "Death" you want to see just [...]
Slaughterhouse impeccably covers the lush ground between skater punk and surfer psychedelia. It’s got ample drone to start, but remains badass throughout. Segall’s sweet, retro-rock vocals are mostly absent, replaced this time around with lots of screamin’. Pretty appropriate match for the high-speed drums and crashing guitar of this album. Rating : 7.9 Ty Segall : ( Official / Myspace )
Prolific musician Ty Segall releases his first album with his touring band. Prepare to have your mind and eardrums blown away.
Majority of the time when we see or hear from these guys they are extremely serious. Nothing but mean demeanor's & raw lyrics. In this video, all of that is non-existent. Feels good to see these guys getting the shine they deserve and a major & having a shit load of fun while doing so. Check out the official video for Slaughterhouse's "My Life" video featuring Cee-Lo Green. Also has a nice cameo intro by Mr. Mathers!
There is a school of thought that real balls-out, face-melting, teeth-gnashing, soul-blazing rock and roll doesn’t exist anymore. Those who subscribe argue that the contemporary indiesphere or popular music in general has passed on meaty guitars, soring solos and scorched vocals, favoring syrupy synths or jangly acoustics. If you’ve spent any time on FP this year, you’d know that this isn’t the case. Rock and roll is back in a big way, whether it’s the Sonic Youth-esque squalor of The Men’s Open Your Heart , the jet-black psychedelia of Royal Bath ’s [...]
Though Eminem doesn't drop a verse on Slaughterhouse 's "My Life", Em was generous enough to make one memorable appearance in the group's video. (They are on his Shady imprint, after all.) The clip's prologue includes a Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous -type program, featuring Slim Shady using his Platinum Records for shooting practice, showing off his garage full of 300 Crystler300s, and offering us his secret for maintaining that youthful beauty of his: bathing in the tears of other rappers. Oh, and did we forget to [...]
