Ah yes, the most important portion of the BET Hip-Hop Awards: the freestyle cyphers. While there were certainly some solid straight-up performances last night, the cyphers have remains the reason why folks tune in, right? I mean, who wouldn't want to see Yelawolf, Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5'9", and Eminem rhyme while DJ Premier mans the turntables? I thought so. The highly anticipated Shady 2.0 cypher finally went down. Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse and Eminem ripped the 2011 BET hip hop awards cypher giving the best performance of the night. Plenty of bars and punches were thrown around so enjoy this one.

This remix is definitely a departure from typical Tiesto. It almost sounds like a crossover/hybrid type sound of Guru Josh Project's famed 2008 hit "Infinity" and Alesso's stutter-effect sound that has proved wildly successful as he is, at least in my eyes, probably the biggest up-and-comer in regard to mainstream success (of course thanks to the help of SHM). Nonetheless, this track has rich vocals, a fun drop, and a Tiesto name on it - don't let it go overlooked. Tiesto is currently in the middle of his College Invasion Tour , along the way he decided to release his remix of "Slaughter House". While this track isn't as hard as " Maximal Crazy " or as synth oriented as " Don't Ditch ", it blends the best of elements of both those tracks together to find a happy medium, we like to describe the elements of this song as 'non dirty' electro house. There isn't much else to say about the living legend and thank the rave gods he's still making remixes. I took some videos while I was there, but not too many since I wanted to actually enjoy/respect the artists. Big K.R.I.T was a great performer, and I didn't get to see Childish Gambino perform, but I was next door to his stage watching The GZA and it looked like Gambino put on a good show.
