Watch Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax Get Together To Cover Motörhead

Watch Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax Get Together To Cover Motörhead Last night, the so called "Big Four" of the '80s thrash-metal boom - that'd be Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax - came together at Yankee Stadium to play only their second-ever U.S. show together, following the one they played in California a few months back. And during Metallica's encore, members of all four bands, as well as '80s peers Exodus, joined each other onstage to cover Motörhead's fast-growl classic " Overkill ." A ton of videos of the performance are floating around on YouTube, but all of them sadly look and sound like ass. The best one that we could [...]

THE CHOSEN FEW: JUDAS PRIEST FIND A NEW WAY TO SELL OLD STUFF

To help promote their upcoming tour, on October 11 Judas Priest will release The Chosen Few, their umpteenth career retrospective, and one which does not feature any new material. The Chosen Few does have a hook, though - I mean, beyond the fact that the band members appear on the cover only as silhouettes, I [...]

AS I LAY DYING ARE NOT "PARALYZED" BY THEIR TENTH ANNIVERSARY; ANNOUNCE HEADLINING TOUR

As I Lay Dying "Paralyzed" (LYRIC VIDEO)
My own fragile sense of mortality means that I'm still adjusting to the fact that the original bands from the New Wave of American Heavy Metal - commonly mislabeled as "metalcore" - are now hovering somewhere around their tenth year of existence. As I Lay Dying are the latest band to hit the one decade [...]

Weylin's Slayer Orchestra - Nacht der Aufgehenden tot

Hear The Track HereFrom the progressive rock of Thielus Grenon to the progressive metal of Weylin's Slayer Orchestra means that prog is the taste that will remain in the mouth after this months reviews. Ewwwwww indeed. It's a good job that both of these musicians deliver their brand of venom (ooops, sorry I mean prog) with much more attention to detail than most other proggies, even though I

31 DAYS OF FAITH NO MORE: CONCLUSION

Faith No More - Midnight Cowboy
Spurred by a lazy crossword clue in The Onion (36 down, four letters: "Faith No More's only hit"), MetalSucks contribu tor Anso DF dedicated every single day in August to celebration and exploration of the San Francisco alt-metal greats. Here we proved that history's greatest band landed more than one commercial hit (crossword answer: "Epic" natch), we revelled in FNM's [...]

Cephalotripsy @ Death Feast 08 REMAKE
¿¡Q-VO, CULEROS?! Te gustan EL MOSH?! Pienso que sí! Escuchame si te quiero EL MOSH tambien!!! As you can tell from my terrible Spanish, I'm just a dumb güero who can barely tell a tamale from a taqueria. I might not be the master of foreign languages, but I do know that Latinos always been [...]

YOUR LATEST CHANCE TO WASTE MONEY

Slayer now sell condoms in their webstore - "For when you're going South of Heaven." Seriously. They come in packs of three or six; a three pack of Durex condoms with no Slayer logo on it will run you about two bucks, so, of course, a three pack of Durex condoms with a Slayer logo [...]

SLAYER Condoms: Still Not As Brutal As An Abortion

Each Slayer Custom Condom "matchbook" holds 1 Durex latex condom. Available as a 3-pack or 6-pack." It'll set you back $12.99, and unlike the recent ...
