Slow Club gives it oh so sweetly. What can I say about day 4 that wont make you green with St Paddy's themed envy if you weren't actually there to witness it? A bonus set by new TBE faves Cherub happened. Plus a lot more varieties of rock (sexy, tender, party, etc). Stay tuned for a proper recap of my favorite shows of the TBE parties but in the meantime read on for the 360 interviews! US Royalty / U.S. Royalty - Monte Carlo [...]

@Seraphina_L on Thursday at SXSW: U.K. duo Slow Club opened their set with a couple of intimately twee songs at the Parish, but it didn't take long for Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor to fill out their alt-folk sound with a full band. Taylor especially showed her versatility as she also took on the guitar and two drum sets while she belted out melodies with vocals befitting a pop diva. But that's the charm of Slow Club; their skills could easily be [...]
Our favorites, Slow Club stopped by Breakthru Radio to perform a rare cut entitled "Everything is New". I love seeing this because Rebbeca gets to be seen on the drums, where she excels at. (Just like everything else). Also, this has to be one their most seductive love songs they ever made. I saw them play this live as well, and it's truly amazing. This track was the B-Side to one of my favorite SC cuts, "If We're Still Alive" Slow Club - "Everything Is New" (Breakthru Radio Session)

Phil Sharp It took me a while to warm to England's Metronomy - perhaps not unusual considering how deliberately chilly their particular vein of electro-pop tends to be. But warm to it I did, or at least to their 2011 Mercury-shortlisted album The English Riviera ; just not quite in time to catch them on their last pass through town last October. I was still recovering from Iceland Airwaves and had something like four or five other shows that week - something had to give, and it was Metronomy. [...]

There is a beautiful contrast between a brunette and a blonde. This beauty is especially highlighted when they are a music duo named Slow Club . Their partnership is from Sheffield, UK and they grace their appearance with beguiling folk melodies. The video below was hosted by BreakThru Radio TV , featuring an intimate live performance from Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor of Slow Club. Their acoustic sound is welcoming and you can experience it right underneath. In between the video is a quirky set of Q&A from BTR. Slow Club released their second album Paradise via Moshi Moshi [...]

Frank Yang As I understand it, conventional wisdom is that Leap Day should be taken as an opportunity to try something new. But seeing as how prior to this year I've never thought of February 29 as anything more than an extra day of Winter every four years, I don't feel bad that I spent it seeing a band I've seen many times before - Scotland's The Twilight Sad , in town in support of their third album No One Can Ever Know [...]
