So here it is, the top 50 Songs of 2006 . I try my absolute hardest to not include more than one song by a band in it because after the top 10-15, the rankings are mostly arbitrary and based on feel. Anything that makes my cats stop in their tracks and takes notice deserves a closer listen. This is what happened this morning when I put No Disassemble from Slow Runner on; as the first squelchy keyboard/organ riff rumbles the record to life, the cats stood in their tracks and did a double take, trying to decide where the sound was coming from.
