Foto: "Desconhecido" .
Not quite sure it's summer anymore, well not in London at least, but here's something to brighten up your night. A new mixtape from DandywithDandruffs splicing together classic french... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
Sneaky Sound System are a group from Australia, they have been hugely successful over there and now with their second album they are going for wider appeal! They have worked with Spike Stent (who has worked with Madonna and Gwen Stefani) on the new album which will be released in September 2008 so watch this space for more from the band! DOWNLOAD: [...]
Unfamiliar with Aussie dance/ pop act Sneaky Sound System? Well that's a pity cause tunes like "Pictures" and "UFO" were definitely ace. You most likely know frontwoman Connie Mitchell's voice at least, since it provided those key haunting ad-libs on Kanye West's stunning exposition "Can't Tell Me Nothing" (among a few other appearances on last year's Graduation). Whether aware of SSS or not,

Sneaky Sound System - When We Were Young "What you gonna do when you cross that line?" Sneaky Sound System just released their second album in Australia. I've been on the fence with these guys for awhile now and the new material doesn't really change that. They are a good pop/dance group, for sure, but I find that a lot of their stuff sounds too similar. Still, they're very fun and great for the summer. When We [...]

put on that midnight smile for me. i've always had a thing for everything Ozzie, and these pictures of Sophie Monk (fish lips aside) really helped explain why: they're bloody hawt! let's just pretend for a second that she wasn't in the shit-tastic 'Date Movie' and appreciate her for her true ASSets. i'm a tacky bastard, i know. in all seriousness, though, all the Oz girls i've ever met have had this gorgeous beachy look going on without even trying and have all been absolutely stunning. i don't think i've ever met [...]

Sunday Post So many good things released in the last little while. I have been busy dutifully bouncing between this blog and another that recruited me and have precious little time to give all the music that is dope the coverage that is fully warranted. Excuses, excuses I know but it has been hectic. First up tonight is a scorching remix of Muse's 'Knight Of Cydonia' by the one and only Ocelot . This is some baddass electro here with the [...]

"What would be my, how shall I call it, spontaneous attitude toward the universe. It's a very dark one. The first one, the first thesis would have been, a kind of total vanity. There is nothing, basically. I mean it quite literally, like, ultimately . . . ultimately there are just some fragments, some vanishing things. If you look at the universe, it's one big void. But then how do things emerge? Here I feel a kind of spontaneous affinity with quantum physics, where, you know, the idea there is that [the] universe is a void, but a kind of [...]

icanteachyouhowtodoit Dreamy Lifelike , the sound of French electro in my ears. The intro sends shivers down my spine. There's a couple remixes of this song by Sneaky Sound System , I've decided to only post the one by Lifelike. But you should definitely check all of them out. I'd highly recommend anything Lifelike, this track is no different. Strangely with a similar sound, Ddpesh 's remix of Diplo featuring Rye Rye . With a touch of Euro electro with some [...]

I never thought I would be posting a track by, dare I say it, Sneaky Sound System . But alas, some kick ass people like Lifelike , Tomboy and our own Beni Single [ Riot in Belgium ] (check our older post on him for a song of his that was on Relish EP 2) have done remixes of Sneaky's new track "Kansas City". I'm leaning more towards Tomboy's mix, but I guess there isn't one remix that stands out. The vocal is terrible in general and the band is notoriously known for that [...]

Adding an entirely new dimension to the mixtape, South Central have recorded a fantastic live set and uploaded it to Youtube for your viewing pleasure. The video is broken into three parts which I highly recommend watching and/or listening to. It's fascinating to watch a DJ set from behind the stage, but even more so when you see how much work SC put into their unique sound. If you call yourself a fan of electronic music I can not urge you enough to listen to South Central - here is a brand new track, or rather a remix, [...]
South Central are back with a remix for the new Sneaky Sound System single "Pictures." This is less of a banger than some of South Central's previous work and feels like a tease with the original song - stretched out and distorted at all the right moments: Sneaky Sound System - "Pictures" (South Central remix) (mp3) Pictures: South Central also recently did a video dj mix [...]

Remixes of remixes - it was inevitable wasn't it? Seventeen year old Red October needed some differentiation from the dozen or so other artists with the same handle and rechristened himself RDCTBR. But never mind the name, he's got a unique production style – chopped up and stripped down. His remix of D.I.M.'s remix of Jape's Floating is presented here along with his best of breed remixes of fellow Aussie fRew's Call of the Crow and Sneaky Sound System's lovely UFO. Jape - Floating RDCTBR's D.I.M. re-remix fRew - Call of the [...]
Basically, it was like this: 1. Riot in Belgium was quite enjoyable 2. Dark Wave Disco were also quite enjoyable 3. Lesbians were in heavy numbers 4. Scenesters were also in heavy numbers 5. Funky Buddha Lounge never again 6. $1 drinks I heard Federico Franchi - Cream. I wanted to hear Surkin - Radio Fireworks (Riot In Belgium Second Remix), Sneaky Sound [...]
(Taken @ The Gold Coast, AU) You know what this song reminds me of? Correct. It reminds me of Australia. This song was really big when I was there last year, it wasn't that big of a deal to me at the time because I had heard like 6 months prior in the states. Now that [...]

Pic: Cobra Snake Remember when everyone thought the Scenario Rock - Both Gotta Move On "Hey Champ" remix was the SebastiAn remix? People, it turns out the "Hey Champ" remix is not, in fact, the SebastiAn remix. Considering how much hype this guy gets, the Sebastian remix is surprisingly on the DL. It hasn't leaked yet, or so it seems. However, you can hear the song in its entirety at Scenario Rock's Myspace , or simply purchase the "Both Gotta Move On" single, including the said remix, at Arcade Mode . [...]
