The mysterious duo of '96 Bulls has been consistently releasing solid remixes over the last few years, now that it is 2012. There's not much to say about the duo-being mysterious and all-but the remixes speak for themselves. Keep an eye out for these guys to get some more notice as they release more mixes. If you are a fan of "Go Go Bizkitt!" Then you will certainly like these guys. I discovered Snob Scrilla through the SXSW 2011 Torrent. He's an Australian Singer/Songwriter who has a diverse hip-hop/pop sound. So happy I discovered this musician as he has a mix of hip-hop and electronica to create real upbeat enjoyable tracks.
I'm more than half-way through the best songs on the SXSW 2011 Torrent. Today is just S artists performing in SXSW which is quite a lot so I had to single out the S's. First we got Satchel Grande, who are a funk/soul/pop band from Omaha, Nebraska.

SoundCloud Got a mystery of sorts for you guys today and they call themselves the '96 Bulls . These guys have mastered the art of remixing like Jordan mastered the fade-away jumper. If I had to embody them in the Bulls they would be Jordan and Pippin. Not much more to be found about these guys, not even somewhere to buy their songs. Not to worry, we've got the ones you need for your collection! This puts their record at 4-0, only 68-10 more to go. :: Wombats - Tokyo ('96 [...]

Heartbreak Scorsese ('96 Bulls Remix)- Snob Scrilla never could take off my cool.

I don't know about you but 2009 was the year I fell in live with remixes. Starting TBE opened up my world to so many amazing reinterpretations of both great and not so great songs. Having always been more of a cover song guy this was new territory for me but I dove in headfirst and have been enjoying the ride so far. Good music is a personal thing and messing with great music is even more so. This is very much a subjective list and is based on nothing besides how much I love and respect the work done. [...]

When I first heard of No Frills it took me back to my childhood running around the Franklins shopping chain, driving trolleys into unsuspecting ankles, using boxes for most nearly everything but packing and of course the tasty generic no frills gear on offer... what I didnt expect was the barage of quality tunes from a new Australian label. Headed by Tom Piper and pulling other aussie and international heads like Snob Scrilla, Blaze Tripp, Wax Motif, Nick Correlli, Destroy Disco, Tape2Tape, Nick Thayer, Bar9, Redial, Danny T, The Hump Day Project [...]

Wax Motif is another conscript in the ranks of the Australian music army. Not just cannon fodder but someone with a couple frays under the belt and makes up this 2nd generation of producers who have been there, done that and back for thirds! Blending a fuse of novel, party-hop lyrical content and nostalgic early house bass you can count of plenty of thud and grind. He recently commuted over to a new Australian label No Frills along side Snob Scrilla, Blaze Tripp, Nick Thayer and Tom Piper. Two new licks, one of [...]

A second, more fun remix (last one was a bit too straightforward and boring IMO). This one features cut up guitars, thumping floor shattering bass*, and a guest spot from everyone's favourite storytelling bogan: Clare Werbeloff **! Snob Scrilla feat Clare Werbeloff - Heartbreak Scorsese (GenErik's Chk Chk Boom! Remix) [MP3, 04:53, 10MB, 155BPM] * UPDATE 11 June 2009: Completely new mix and master. Please redownload as this one doesn't sound like it's recorded in a basement. ** Okay, so I'm aware that in internet years, this meme [...]
DOWNLOAD: "Spaceship" by Snob Scrilla (right click, save as) To be honest I don't really know much from Snob Scrilla but I love anything about spaceships and crap....and also electro and hip hop collaborations. This is produced by the Bag Raiders. Reminds me of MSTRKRFT or something.

remember when someone wise said there seems to be more and more joints with rappers and actual electro producers these days? well, sydney-based rapper snob scrilla joins in on the fun backed up with a custom production by bang gang 12-inches frontliners bag raiders , taking the rocket-fueled boy/girl-storytelling track 'spaceship' up where it belongs! snob scrilla - spaceship (produced by bag raiders) snob scrilla's album 'day one' should be somewhere out there and if he managed to keep up the level of 'spaceship', [...]

Without exaggeration, this jam has been on chronic repeat ever since it came my way last month. But what can you expect, really? It's Snob Scrilla teaming up with Australia's finest production team, Bag Raiders , for a monster of a track. Seriously, they just throw the works into this; some pummeling beats, booty rhymes, classic Bag Raiders synth-heroics and this cosmic lounge breakdown that Pharrell would be jealous of. Hop on this one ASAP. Snob Scrilla – Spaceship (Produced by Bag Raiders) [ YS ] MYSPACE

"Heartbreak Scorsese! I'll never change, I'll never change, I'll never change...." There is really not enough hip hop on here....actually I don't think there is ANY hip hop. Unless you include Girl Talk, does he count? I'm not sure. Mostly I don't love hip hop but more and more lately the deep bass lines and heavy beats just really appeal to me. Maybe I'm pregnant. Anyway, you've probably heard of Snob Scrilla who put out that track last year "There You Go Again" and played [...]

I honestly think that Wax Motif has this whole music thing down pat, besides being one of the most recognizable djs in Sydney, playing everywhere from Chinese Laundry, to Candy's Apartment and Moulin Rouge, he is also a regular on the Good Vibrations tour, as well as being the DJ for Snob Scrilla and has had a series of successful remixes being released and also bootlegs spamming all over the blogosphere . So way back in March Fairtilizer , Mad Decent, Nike Sportswear, Highsnobiety , and Paper [...]

The wonderfully articulate, smart rapper, Snob Scrilla, just released his latest album, Day One . I'm a little late on the review, but we've been super busy, and it's better late than never. Day One starts off with "Nuclear Sunrise", an introduction into the albums meaning, the intention of his songs. This album seems to deal with space a lot, with songs like "ALIENation" and "Spaceship". "Nuclear Sunrise" breaks into a bit of an electro section, letting the listener know, that this isn't just a straight hip hop album. The second track, "Houston" proves [...]

If there was an award for Crossover Album of the Year, then Snob Scrilla (a.k.a Sean Mullins ) would win it hands down. His debut LP Day One is a diverse and wacky blend of electronica, indie rock, hip hop, pop, and hard rock, and has the potential to appeal to basically anyone. Some of you might remember "There You Go Again" or "Chasing Ghosts" from last year, and if you liked them, or the next single "Houston" (which all feature here), then you will most likely enjoy the rest of [...]

Edit: Hosting is back! As I type this, I'm thinking "I wonder how much hate this post is going to get", especially since I am about to post a producer who has recieved a bit of heat in the past few weeks. Redial sent us his remix of datA's new track, One In A Million . Now, I was talking about this track with a couple of people, and the general consensus is that the original lacks musical direction or purpose, the distortion is terrible, [...]
Y o, for real, it's the weekend and its time to shake your moneymaker (not implying y'all are strippers or whatever). I stumble across a ton of awesome remixes as I surf this information ether-highway of ours. I don't like giving them dedicated posts cause 1) not everyone is super into remixes and 2) I don't want to dilute the attention that should be given to new artists. You feel me? I knew you would. So anyway, I am starting another new feature at TBE where I round up some of the sweetest remixes of late and toss 'em at [...]
