For a band of four guys, Cymbals Eat Guitars make a lot of freakin' noise. Watching them play live doesn't make it seem any more believable. Maybe it's that driven, indie passion they pull from so much--you know, the Modest Mouses, the Pixies. The band's latest LP is Why Are There Mountains, and here's a live performance that should get you scoping it:Thx, P4K!MP3: Cymbals Eat Guitars- "Wind
so, buncha new stuff fresh from farfaraway new zealand this month. firstly, the terrifying realisation we might be wrong 7" on dirty knobby. which is as existentially unsettling as the title suggests. even the cover, a bleary washed out photo of an old woman nightmare, stares menacingly at me from some grim elseworld. it's a wonderfully [...]
You know how everybody thinks that their tattoo technician is the sweetest? Well, mine – Brian Hemming of Regeneration in Allston (and formerly of Pino Bros) – really is that dude. Check non-epidermal artwork by Brian and his Regeneration comrades this Saturday (01.17.2008) at LAB in Allston starting at 7pm. Shelflife soon became recognized as one of the top indie pop [...]

I've had this song in my head all weekend, so here's my attempt to get it in yours. This is "Easy Girl" from 2002 by the Manchester-based pop duo Snowblind. Listen to Snowblind - Easy Girl Here's the video:
It's been quite a while since I last posted on this blog. It could be because of constant overtimes at work or perhaps because I'm finally in love again...Whichever the case, I need to find more time for posting and primarily for seeking new music (it's been ages since I had proper time to sit down and listen to new tracks). The only thing I managed to give a listen to is the new album by X/-, Xs
