Son Raw is still adapting to full-time work. Another new one from Dubstep and/or Bass music troublemakers The Soap Dodgers. This one includes a picture of a cat and references to Detroit which suggest some sort of kinship with Techno music (and/or Tyler, The Creator's daydreams) although I'd be damned if I see it. Who knows, navigating genres these days requires an advanced degree in cartography and a willingness to drink home-brewed Texas Kool Aid. in any case, fans of both Dam Funk and Dubstep (alternately, Sex Packets and Swindle) will find plenty to love [...]
The weekend has come and gone, and now you're deep into your weekly grind. Never fear, Wobble Wednesday is back with more of your favorite face-melting bass drops to help you make the most of your mundane lifestyle. Today I'll be guiding you along through the many variations of bass music that we see these days, new and old. I wanted to turn the Wobble Wednesday feature into more than just a section for today's dubstep, so I decided it was only right to incorporate some drum & bass as well as a summer time mix of the week section [...]

Son Raw gets trippy, mane. Amidst a generation of pill popping Avicii fans with a hazy understanding of subgenres and a counter-revolution of James Blake lovers who don't drop the bass so much as gently cradle it to sleep, it's easy to forget that Dubstep ( actual Dubstep) doesn't have to suck. The difference between the worst bro-strains and perfectly serviceable dance music is usually a question of degree: a little restraint goes a long way in this field and you don't necessarily have to overreach until dungeon minimalism to win. The Soap Dodgers [...]

This week, the Monday Mix was done by Farkas aka Joel Metz. The up-and-coming Swedish producer has been having a really great year. He's had loads of support and plays by huge names such as Rusko, Skream, Benga, 16bit, The Others, L-Wiz, Dream, Walsh, N-Type, etc. His track ' Tribal Dance ' off his debut release ' Meet the Farkas, Pt. 1 ' has become somewhat of an anthem of 2012, appearing in countless sets during over the past couple of months. With three other releases on the way (' Meet the Farkas, Pt. 2 ' due out [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here again! Welcome back! If you're not already familiar with Wobble Wednesday, that's okay - we want to make your first time amazing. Most of what you'll be listening to here is often referred to as dubstep, but can encompass all genres of heavy bass music. To quote bass music artist ill.Gates, "When you look at what some of the bigger dubstep guys are doing now, they'll play some dubstep, they'll play some drumstep, they'll plays some breaks, some drum and bass, and maybe some dance hall." That's what Wobble Wednesday is all about. [...]
Lets start this 9th episode of our beloved Dubstep Round Up series with a real banger! As you all probably know Original Sin is a badass jump up drum & bass producer. With many classics to his name (also from his G Dub-years) he has nothing to prove anymore. Still he keeps raising the bar producing banger after banger, not caring whether it's drum & bass, drumstep or even dubstep. On his latest offering on the infamous label Playaz Recordings he tries out many different styles. "Air Raid" is the only dubstep tune on [...]

West London dubstep duo Soap Dodgers are on fine form once again with new track 'Distant' . The pair are known to be generous via their SoundCloud and gave away this corker earlier today. A huge 'waaah' turns the song into more of an roar and sets the tone for an effortlessly simple track but one that is sure to get people screw-facing and nod-stepping.
