Baltimore's Neil Sanzgiri is Soft Cat , a talented folk singer/songwriter that equally caught my ears and eyes with this beautifully water color video for "It Won't Be Long", animated by Miranda Pfeiffer ,. The music world seems to die down just a bit here at the end of summer with lots of bands focusing more on constant touring as opposed to writing and releasing new material. Of course come October that'll all change with the hectic times of ACL... while i love living in baltimore, sometimes i miss all the great shows that pass through other cities, namely: new york. this gem club / holy spirits / soft cat / the bird day show looks insane, and if it was on a weekend i'd strongly consider taking the train to NY to see it. still, if you live in the area, i'd say this show would be an insane way to spend your thursday night. not only are they all incredibly talented musicians, but they're really great guys.
