Kendrick Lamar is becoming quite the sidekick for the emerging crop of ultra-cool R&B singers. The Compton rapper teamed up with Emeli Sande for the US version of "Next to Me," then dropped a verse on Miguel 's "How Many Drinks?" remix  and now he's throwing some rhymes onto Solange 's "Looks Good with Trouble" remix. The slinky cut off her True EP doesn't get a complete overhaul or anything here, but K-Dot hops onto the track to play the sensitive performer, lamenting how tour fatigue and spotty [...]

Well that was quick. Obviously so flattered by my kind words on her "Locked In Closets" video, Solange returns the favor by dropping off her revamped version of "Looks Good With Trouble" with some guy named Kendrick Lamar. Cut from more a subdued and reserved cloth, the record is an impressive showing for both. No one will ever confuse me for a music video director, but given the proper budget and combining the creativity of both Kendrick and Solange, a visual wouldn't be a bad look as long as it's done [...]

Solange Knowles has released a new version of "Looks Good with Trouble", off last year's True EP , which features a verse from Kendrick Lamar . It's available now on iTunes , or you can stream it below (via Rap-Up ). Fun Fact: Solange and Kendrick will be appearing at a bunch of the same festivals, including Way Out West , Flow , and Pukkelpop , so be on the look out for an on-stage collaboration.

Solange Knowles keeps it short but ultra-chic in her new mini-video for "Locked in Closets."  The Alan Del Rio Ortiz -directed clip (in collaboration with Refinery29 ) follows the singer as she strolls through her favorite spots in Brooklyn. There were lots of celebrities at last night's 2013 Met Gala! It's true.  Beyonce  and  Miley Cyrus  and  Jennifer Lopez  and even  Kim Kardashian , who thought it was a costume party and went as someone's garage-sale sofa. (Sorry, Kim, but seriously. Yikes.)
