It's taken Sondre Lerche five studio LP's and a soundtrack to finally release a self-titled album. Typically this is a sign to fans that the artist/band has settled down and honed in on their relationship with the music they create. Lerche's self-titled LP comes out June 7th on Mona Records and if "Domino" is any indication, then we're in store for another great collection of songs with Lerche's fingerprints firmly planted on every aspect of the album. As a follow up to his first single, "Domino", Sondre Lerche (with help from Stereogum ) has revealed the video for his latest single, "Private Caller" from his upcoming self-titled album, which hits stores May 30th in UK/EU and June 7th in the US.

Back in March we premiered " Domino ," from Sondre Lerche's upcoming self-titled LP. In that post I mentioned how Lerche had embraced Brooklyn a bit more on his new record. The same applies to his video for the brisk "Private Caller," which looks like it was shot at Williamsburg's Union Pool. Bassist and multi-instrumentalist Dave Hartley, AKA Nightlands has released two new cover songs that you can download below for free. On Covers Hartley recorded the Lindsey Buckingham ( of Fleetwood Mac) song "Trouble," and Scott Walker's "Big Louise." Walker was a member of The Walker Brothers. Norwegian singer Sondre Lerche is about to release a new self-titled album on June 7, and is previewing it with this video for "Domino." Lerche deals in delicate singer-songwriter material that folds in pop and folk influences. "Domino" is reminiscent of Jeff Buckley's habit of matching quiet rumination with bursts of strident guitar playing, and it's topped off with a neat passage of dissonance toward the end. The video by Kate Barker-Froyland captures a fondly nostalgic mood as it follows the singer around his adopted city of New York, providing a fitting accompaniment to the wistful nature of the track.
