Here's a brand new track from Skrillex that surface earlier this weekend, featuring the talents of Damian Marley. A reggae-dubstep infusion has never sounded so good. For fans of Damian Marley, you're all already in love with his vocals, and this track, hearing them in an entirely different setting, will blow you away. I really think the track sells itself, so not much needs to be said, except: prepare yourself, this one is gonna be huge. Download & Enjoy! Rudeboy Bass (Feat. Damian Marley) - Skrillex [...]

Tainted by the collective sorrow of Whitney Houston 's untimely death on Saturday , the 54th annual Grammy Awards went on as scheduled last night. Dance music was woefully ignored (as usual), but Skrillex won three awards: Best Dance/Electronica Album ( Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites ), Best Dance Recording ("Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites") and Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical ("Cinema"). The award was presented during the non-televised ceremony held in the afternoon. "I dedicate these 5 noms to not only the EDM community but all the unconventional forward thinking artists all over the [...]

I don't know if I've ever heard/seen more debates over an artist than there have been with Sonny Moore. The man's explosion onto the EDM scene just over one year ago took everyone by surprise. Practically overnight, he went from being a niche-scene unknown into an ambassador of EDM with 8 of Beatport's top 10 slots all to himself for a at least a few weeks. I'm pretty sure that's never happened before. So this must have some significance, right? I mean we, the music-listening community, are the ones who gave Sonny his throne. Why has his music [...]
Coming via his own label, OWSLA, the "Bangarang" EP has been long in the making this...
Filed under: Exclusive , RPM , Q + A Getty Images Arguably the most polarizing figure in dance music, dubstep's reigning king Skrillex has single-handedly bested the music industry, proving that a grassroots following can't be bought and that no amount of marketing dollars can surpass the value of fandom. Performing sold-out shows more often than not, rocking virtually every major music festival in the country, while netting as many Grammy [...]
This should be a permanent gig!
For those of you who live in Indy, how great has the music been in this town over the last few weeks? I'm having issues with my camera's memory card which, thanks to a little help from Amazon I think it should be resolved mid next week. I can't believe the last time I posted [...]

I remember when I thought of Sonny Moore it was that little kid from that emo band, 'From First To Last. Now, Sonny Moore has transformed his new name, Skrillex , into one of the most influential artists in the EDM world to date. After dropping his, 'My Name Is Skrillex' EP, he was signed by Mau5trap records. In the late October of 2010, his 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites' Album launched and immediately went viral right around Deadmau52s halloween tour. Photo via Skrillex's Facebook Page Sonny Moore has had quite the interesting road; from fronting the post-hardcore outfit, From First to Last, to being the prince of the latest Dubstep sound, Sonny Moore has definitely made a name for himself. His solo work has the ability to move people, attacking people in all of the right places, their bodies being taken away to a world filled with pulsating beats, sampled sounds and dynamically-charged synths. If you do not believe me, check out any video of him performing at this year's Electric Daisy Carnival. Signed [...]

Tweet There are times when pure, unadultered, hard dance music is the only music you really want to listen to. When you find yourself in that mood, you'll be pleased to know that Skrillex is the name that you need. Our lovely Leisha first talked about Skrillex here but we were given a timely reminder by the rather interestingly named Joebin who told us that they're on the site EVERY DAY (nice one, I hope you're sharing the love?) and I'm glad [...]

Sonny Moore goes in... on himself, and gives "Turmoil" the Skrillex touch. It's filthy and we love it! Sonny Moore - Turmoil (Skrillex Remix) Skrillex: ( Official ) ( Free EP ) Rating: 8.5

Hope yall had a good Cinco De Mayo but its time to get filthy. Today I have for you some of the muddiest, grimiest, disgusting, goriest tracks I've ever heard. From the usual Sonny Moore to a few diamonds in the rough like Quartus Saul , this post is certain to get your face melted and just covered with sludge. There's something about Modestep's Sunlight that is just so bright which is unique in such a dark genre. Doesn't have to be dark to be banging track [...]
It finally happened! The best of two worlds get together to create something never seen before! A new genre is born. And thoses who said that electronic music and metal/rock music would never be compatible must be hiding under a rock by now. L.A. musicians, Korn and Skrillex did a collab and produced one of the best gifts the music business has to offer. "Get Up" is the masterpiece they've come up with and I must tell you, this track will blow you away. The dubstep roar blends beautifully with the hardocre guitars of Korn's [...]
