Sonnymoon are about to explode, mark my words. Not that they haven't been bubbling for the past year or so, but 2012 is bound to be something special for this Boston-based duo. After hearing their single " Wild Rumpus " not long ago, we are now treated to some eerie visuals that compliments the audio perfectly. To say that Sonnymoon 's new single, "Wild Rumpus", has a fitting title would be the understatement of the century. OK, maybe not the century, but definitely the year so far. Because, well, this shit is wild . We're talking uber-danceable rhythms and grooves with some off-kilter vocals to boot. Recent Plug Research signees Sonnymoon have been making quite the buzz for themselves over recent months. With a couple projects in the bag, we are waiting in anticipation for their forthcoming proper debut full-length. To hold us over, producer Waajeed comes correct with a stunning refix of the early Sonnymoon cut, "Houstalantavegas". Dragging in some lush strings and tricky percussion work, new light is shed on this already fabulous cover track.

When Sonnymoon dropped Golden Age, we were all blown away by their rendition of Drake's "HoustonAtlantaVegas." Blind I comrade Waajeed was just as impressed by the duo and inspired to do this remix of the track we all love so much. Waajeed's version is and upbeat and it gives the song a party vibe. New unreleased Wajeed remix of Sonnymoon's "Houstalantavegas". I first heard about Sonnymoon at SXSW while hanging with No and Meezy from blindiforthekids. They played their rendition of Drake's, "Houstalantavegas" and I was instantly hooked. Seeing that the duo doesn't need a third leg producer, the only way I could work with them was do a remix. We connected, they sent the vocals, and the rest is history… or at least history in the making. @sonnymoon I'd love to work with you guys more in the future. Mucho [...]

Sometimes, if you look closely enough at the stuff that seems painfully mundane, soul-crushingly banal or just plain ugly, the ordinary suddenly transforms into extraordinary. It's at the proverbial atomic level that the real beauty of life's moments lie, and that's what Sonnymoon is all about.
