Known for his passion to "make overtly melodic music… for the disco inside your mind," Peck is the first man Sunday's Best goes to whenever they need someone to spice up a track from one of their incredibly talented artists. As a producer, Peck has gotten so good at editing Sunday's Best's artists, they've [...]

There is no doubt that Fear of Theydon (born Julian Peck) is on the verge of becoming the go-to-man for adding the extra spark to any release. As Sunday Best's in-house remixer he has "always sought to make overtly melodic music… for the disco inside your mind". Never one to follow the pack, Peck's compilation The Sunday Best Remix is an exciting showcase of Julian's musical growth as a producer demonstrating his versatility and creativity as an artist. Julian has remixed most of the record label's singles since [...]

People have been doing shows outside for years. What has changed that in the span of a couple of weeks that there have been multiple accidents? The weather plays a large part, but does the stage construction have anything to do with the accidents? My heart goes to the families affected by such tragedies and hopefully such accidents won't happen with such high frequency. I almost tire of writing this, because I seem to involuntarily plaster the sentiment everywhere, but: I love Standon Calling . I remain unduly astounded that the place has a fucking swimming pool and hosts a festival-wide fancy dress party of the sort where you feel stupid if you're not wearing a ridiculously outlandish costume. It almost doesn't need bands, but check out some of these beauties which they done booked all the same: Spiritualized It's been a pretty long [...]

One of the biggest clichés for any music blogger is to write the words 'here's something that landed in our in box today,' so please accept this overly long sentence as some sort of wriggling avoidance of that cliché but also at the same time acknowledging that is exactly what happened. What we're trying to put across like a fumbling schoolboy trying to remove his girlfriend's bra for the first time is the fact that sometimes even the coolest new music blogger (which thankfully we aren't, we've said it before and we'll say it again, cool is transient, music [...]

After some very light early morning rain, by lunchtime Camp Bestival 2010 was experiencing unfaultable festival weather – sunny, but with some cloud and breeze to keep temperatures comfortable, especially for the thousands who garbed up in fairy tale costumes for the annual Camp Bestival fancy dress parade. It was like Snow Whites and the seventy dwarfs, a hood of Little Red Riding Hoods and although there weren't quite 101 dalmations, there were certainly a good twenty or so. Lucky Elephant was also perfect for the weather, their laid [...]

Currently hard at work on the follow up to the debut Le Sac vc. Pip album " Angles ", Scroobius Pip has taken time out to share some of his Spoken Word favourites. Most of the seven are purely spoken word pieces, uncluttered by any music. They cover the old favourites right up to modern classics from the current champions of a vibrant scene. Back in December fellow MLD writer Ryan did a loosely Spoken Word themed compilation , and hopefully I'll get round to doing my own soon. For now [...]
