En el vídeo primero encontrarás "Blood on the [...]

Soundgarden are currently out enjoying the road in support of last year's reunion record, King Animal . One would imagine that the album's 52 minutes - or, you know, the band's other five albums - would be enough for one night's setlist. Not so. Alas, frontman Chris Cornell took it upon himself this past weekend in Pennsylvania to perform a new, unreleased song. It's somber, acoustic-laden hymnal that begins three and half minutes into the clip below. Enjoy it with some flannel and a glass of mud, why don't [...]

Reunited grunge-era luminaries Soundgarden played to a sold-out crowd at Upper Darby's Tower Theater last night, showcasing tracks from their 2012 reunion album King Animal, dipping into their back-catalogue for classics like "Spoonman," "Blow Up The Outside World," "Rusty Cage" and "Hands All Over," and digging all the way back to their 1988 debut Ultramega ... On on Wednesday I went to Terminal 5 for the American Express concert featuring Soundgarden. Some people are acting weird because AMEX sponsored the show but if that means $15 tickets for Soundgarden then I don't give two flying fucks who sponsors it. Soundgarden is one of my all-time favorite bands and I've only seen them once before a couple summers ago in Philly. That was one of the best shows

photos by Dana (dostrtion) Yavin Soundgarden @ T5, 1/16/2012 Soundgarden tore into New York City last night (1/17), playing Terminal 5 which was part of the American Express Concert Series . With no openers, Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Sheppard ripped out a 26-song, nearly two-and-a-half hour set. If you went, how was it? This was the first of three NYC shows for Soundgarden and they'll hit Hammerstein [...]

Soundgarden at Irving Plaza in November ( more by Dana (distortion) Yavin ) As mentioned before, Soundgarden play Terminal 5 on Wednesday (1/16) , their first of three NYC shows this month. The T5 show is part of the American Express Concert Series and was the first time where "cardmembers used AmEx's card sync technology for pre-sale ticket access." Like their other two shows, T5 is sold out. If you didn't get tickets but would still like to go, we're giving away a pair . [...]

"Don't call it a comeback" is usually a phrase uttered self-protectively by musicians who are very much coming back from some degree of obscurity. Dr. Dre wasn't exactly absent during the seven-year stretch between his first and second albums ("California Love," anybody?), but his 1999 sophomore release 2001 is littered with lines like "Ladies pay homage, but haters say Dre fell off/ How, nigga? My last album was The Chronic ." If he ever gets around to releasing Detox , it'll surely be stacked with similar "I never went away" rhetoric (and, undoubtedly, lyrics about headphones.) [...]
Now that the holidays are over and people are getting back to their regular routines, we had time to put together the November week-to-week playlists. The December week-to-week top songs will be thin because December is traditionally not a month that there are many new releases. The No. 1 songs for November, in chronological order, [...] Read more, get songs or stream the entire mix on Indie Rock Cafe
2012 left me a bit blah. I'll always find at least 5 great albums in any year that trips me out and will be listened to for years to come. The top 10 i've listed here to me I feel they've hit it right out of the park. You may have noticed that i haven't blogged much about new [...]
I dragged my feet on getting the countdown out this year. The contributions so far have been fairly slim. I know you all listen to music. I know you all have your favorites. So let's hear them. It's the day before Christmas and I've sat down to spend the next 48 hours watching screeners. If you guys are good and get your lists in, I'll loan them to you. You know you want to watch
2012 was definitely a year of blockbuster films. We saw movies like The Avengers , The Hunger Games , The Amazing Spider-Man , and Underworld: Awakening entertaining movie-goers with explosions, chase scenes, and suspense. We also saw the end of The Twilight Saga , Disney going 8-bit on us with Wreck It Ralph , got our fair share of laughs from The Five-Year Engagement , saw Rza enter the movie game, and got a brand-new Oliver Stone film ( Savages ). All in all, it was a great year [...]
