Glade Festival was already looking quite flavour-sum with Sven Vath, Andy C, Rusko, Stanton Warriors, Boddika , Jimmy Edgar (Live), Mosca , and Eats Everything among others all confirmed to appear, however despite this nicely seasoned line up Glade have decided spice things up further with a pungent mix of the world's finest Techno artists. Marcel Dettmann, Levon Vincent, Blawan, Function, and Space Dimension Controller have all been confirmed for the primed and loaded Pryo-mid Stage, making Glade the most tantalising of underground electronic festivals in 2012. [...]

It's always worth keeping an eye on Space Dimension Controller's Soundcloud as he's always chucking out some of his wares for nish; check out new tune 'MK Zero 900' , a slow balearic beauty. Here's something from last years 'The Pathway to Tiraquon 6' long player, 'Tiraquon's Return (A New Home)' is an old school electro blast that is perfect for practising the robot too. Get it here . Space Dimension Controller plays the Selective Hearing birthday party next Saturday in downtown Cottonopolis. Astro Bandits , given away on soundcloud , is a snapshot of the lo-fi, futuristic funk sound the Belfaster has championed. Space Dimension Controller - Astro Bandits image : adam j. o'day

In anticipation of this weekend at Cuckoo, I couldn't help but share my excitement that Jack Hamill has shared this awesome fix up of his own The Love Quadrant. Undeniably one of Space Dimension Controllers more notorious tracks, some would argue it was perfect the way it was. I would agree with anyone putting forth that argument, but I also appreciate the edit as he has taken the dreamy original into an entirely new place. The talented musician cut out the original vocal samples and held on to that wonderful synth lead, adding some distant verb to create an even [...]

An amazing debut on the RA charts this year has firmly established 21-year-old (c*nt!) as a leading light in the revived space-disco scene we all froth over relentlessly these days. He's coming down under to hang with a Koala and shoot a few Wallabies: Friday 10th Feb: Perth...secret location Saturday 11th Feb: Sydney, Picnic Friday 17th Feb: Melbourne, Buffulo Club Saturday 18th Feb: Brisbane, Bar Soma (afternoon set) Saturday 18th Feb: Adelaide, Cuckoo And here's a ridonkulous live set he recorded for your [...]

"Little Shining Man" by Heather and Ivan Morison [ R&S Records ] Space Dimension Controller seemed to just suddenly appear as one of those artists with a fully-formed identity, whose work cribbed from familiar but not-quite-fashionable artifacts of the past, just enough to grab the attention of aesthetes but also rope in dance music outsiders with his seductive blend of melody and sensual rhythm. [...]
So is this an album? If we believe everything we read in press notes, The Pathway To Tiraquon6 is a 'prequel' to Space Dimension Controller 's second album due next year – or the soundtrack to a 24th century alien invasion that sees techno cosmonaut Mr 8040 bolted back in time to modern day Earth to save us all. With eleven tracks over 47 minutes and the 'Feature Presentation' intro that evokes a fuzzy VHS film ident, it doesn't seem like a mere trailer. Let's call it an album for now anyway. The 20-year-old Belfast [...]
In case you hadn't been paying close attention to the UK house scene recently, London-based producer Blawan has been stirring up quite a bit of noise in 2011, earlier on in the year with the retro-tinged hit "Getting Me Down" and more recently with "What You Do With What You Have", which quickly became a highlight among many DJ sets, including James Blake's popular BBC Essential Mix from last month. He also also recently released the Bohla EP on R&S Records, who enlisted him for this exclusive track for their new label compilation titled IOTDXI . [...]

I was never particularly into scifi. Words like 'Alderaan' and 'warp speed' don't fill me with a frisson of excitement for the new; they just make me laugh a bit. Space Dimension Controller , on the other hand, seems to be quite the space-fantasy enthusiast. His latest release is called The Pathway To Tiraquon6 - and it's a prequel to his debut full-length, Welcome to Mikrosektor-50 . It's quite the little constellation of geekery. 'Usurper' is taken from Pathway...and it's the perfect track to welcome the beautiful, [...]

Trouble Vision have been steadily building a solid reputation as one of Corsica Studios standout nights and their summer session this Saturday 11 th June promises to be an absolute blinder. Lee Foss followed by Tensnake will be the obvious highlights with both acts being pretty massive at the moment, but Room 2 will definitely be worth a look in with Space Dimension Controller headlining. Tickets are still on sale, for now, but make sure you grab yours now over at Resident Advisor and click attending on the Facebook Event . [...]
Just shy of a week since word got around that Doug Singer had left the trio behind "Sunday Best", the summer afternoon series that we loved (and you loved) going to, his former partners, Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, have announced the rejuvenation of the BKLYN Yard space (now called Gowanus Grove) and the launch [...]

Model 5002s return to releasing new material last year was welcomed with open arms by us at the Labs and it proved to be one of the best releases of 2010. Now R&S have set the remixers to work and the pick of the pack is a brilliantly funky remix from Space Dimension Controller . Rounding off the edges of the original a little and squeezing some air into proceedings, SDC delivers a squelchy slice of house that never seems in a rush to get where it's going. Available now at [...]

This one is a PR mix. I never thought that anything like this would get on here, but the music really speaks for itself. The mix is labelled as best of 2010 and there are some great tracks from last year on here, plus it's really well put together. As a PR mix, it manages to up even some of the mixes I've already posted on this blog. So get ready for some Mount Kimbie , Space Dimension Controller and Shed . And if you want some genres, I'd say it's between techno, house and dubstep. So it's [...]
