Earlier this week, we learned that SpaceGhostPurrp and his Raider Klan cohorts will head out on the road together . But simply announcing a tour isn't enough for the Miami rapper-producer, as he just shared an icy, dark-as-hell new track, "Starz". For those unfamiliar with Purrp, you pretty much have to be in a very specific mood to truly enjoy his music. Sometimes, that's when your properly faded while others, you're just able to appreciate the raw sounds he creates. Either way, it's below for all y'all to enjoy.
SGP has taken a quick break from coaxing white people into racially abusing him publicly to create an all new spooky track, Starz, which is as unnerving as it is rhythmically mesmerising. The Raider Klan rapper debuted this new track ahead of the Black Money Tour with the rest of his crew across North America starting tomorrow. The track debuted on Spin and, as far as we know, that's the only place to hear it right now.
Futuristic South Florida rapper SpaceGhostPurrp released one of the most unconventional, unsettling, endlessly intriguing hip-hop records of last year. Mysterious Phonk: Chronicles of SpaceGhostPurrp came out in June on 4AD Records and it pushed boundaries in terms of both lyrical raunchiness and sonic experimentation, sounding like nothing out there (not even Odd Future, really - ... Terceira música do SGP a sair nessa semana. Ouça aqui Throwed , de segunda, e Alize Music , de ontem.

In only a few short years SpaceGhostPurrp has taken us on seriously interesting ride. The first time I saw this young Miami bred MC he was rappin bout that "phonk" (drugs, women, satan) over some lo-fi beats that sounded like they were recorded in someone's bathroom. I was immediately intrigued by his name his ominous bravado, and the weird way he wrote everything. His crew, RVIDXR KLVN quickly grew into a small army and it swept the entire Trill revival scene, it seemed that SGP had arrived. Then he found god and decided to retire. Now he's drug free and apparently back [...]

Freestyle chopped and screwed do SpaceGhostPurrp na faixa até então apenas instrumental Throwed . Esse é o primeiro trabalho de Purrp a sair esse ano, sendo que seu último projeto, o EP BMW, saiu em dezembro passado .
They say all publicity is good publicity but that might not be the case for Miami-based rapper and producer SpaceGhostPurrp. While many of us slept last night, Purrp took to [...] The post SpaceGhostPurrp Goes On Hate-Filled Tirade Against 'Black B*tches' appeared first on The Smoking Section .
Dusky new 47-minute Ryan Hemsworth mix for FADER , highlighting all the incredible breadth of his influence: from the usual suspects like Shlohmo , Juj and Nosaj Thing to Boyz II Men and a pitch-shifted Jojo . Be sure to keep an ear out for a few hints about his impending debut LP, as well as an endearingly minimal revision of Broken Social Scene 's classic " Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl " around the 16 minute mark — a piece that dates all the way back to Hemsworth's high school years. H∆SHTAG$- Don’t Call it #CloudRap- Episode 3 For the third episode of H∆SHTAG$ – the web series chronicling Internet-based music – RBMA turns their attention to the Southern hip hop and Enya loving internet-born micro-culture referred to as “Cloud Rap.” Featured artists include Main Attrakionz , Flatbush Zombies , SpaceGhostPurrp , Robb Banks and London’s Piff Gang .
Red Bull Music Academy have got a great series of mini-documentaries going on at the moment, and today they've released the third installment which looks at hip-hop, and more specifically the micro-genre of "cloud rap." RBMA talk to some of the major players in the movement, including Main Attrakionz and SpaceGhostPurrp , as well as journalists and assorted talking heads. If you haven't already, make sure you take a look at the first two episodes in the series, one on modern R&B (featuring Miguel and How To Dress Well) [...]
You didn't really want to go. I mean, let's be honest, the only reason you went is because you saw that guy you like clicked "Attending" on the Facebook event page. So you went. And now you're sitting in a dark basement with a smoke machine and a guy waving a flashlight around to mimic a strobe light (hey, everyone's on a budget). The entire space is dark, save for a few purple and blue flickerings. You're sort of dizzy. There's some weird industrial-ambient-goth-lite music playing. You don't really like it but people seem to be swaying to it in [...]
SGP’s “Black Man’s Wealth” EP was one of the most enjoyable projects we had in 2012. There was one specific track however that really caught the attention of most listeners. From start to finish "NO TROUBLE " was something special, featuring Nell of Raider Klan. With a great opening verse by Nell, it’s hard to imagine another SpaceGhostPurrp project without his presence. In case you slept through the release, download Nell’s latest project 90′s Mentality right here . These visuals were directed by Lux Luke, who captured the image of Raider Klan with ease.

If you and your musician friends are looking for a new stage name, there are certain things that you may want to avoid. There are a number of keys to success in the world of music, but in an age when Google searches are so prevalent and everyone is looking to be innovative because it's all been done, a good stage name is key. Ever have issues figuring out which letters in Schoolboy Q are capitalized? Having trouble doing proper research on Future because Google is leading you down unrelated Internet wormholes? We experience these things too (daily), and in hopes [...]
Strange Music's ¡MAYDAY! have dropped off the visuals for their Roaches remix. Smash & mixtape here . Video: ¡MAYDAY! ft. SpaceghostPurrp & CyHi The Pynce – Roaches (Remix) is a post from: That Hip Hop Blog

At first glance, this is pretty confusing. Apparently XXL has confirmed nine rappers on their 2013 Freshman Class, but they want readers to vote on the final ten spot. With that, they have put up a voting page where fans can cast a vote for who they think deserves that spot. The thing is, there are a ton of fantastic MCs on here, so there is obviously going to be a ton of overlap. It is always tough defining a true "Freshman." Does that mean they are putting out their first song, mixtape or album? What exactly is [...]

There's something about how dark and unhinged SGP seems to be that translates into his visuals. We first saw it ... Continue reading
Mysterious Phonk has been in circulation for a bit now, but SpaceGhostPurrp thought it would be a good time to give it a boost. The visuals are murky and tripped-out, exactly what you would expect from a hazy anthem like "Been Fweago". Honestly, this video isn't anything special, but it gives us yet another reason to pump up the bass on this lo-fi adventure through the dungeons of hip-hop's inner grit. Watch the video below.
